20.01.2022 Hello Point Cook Community. Having worked for The Salvation Army for 25 years I have had an insight into how tough life can be for underprivileged individuals and what it takes to help them overcome these challenges! Kelvin too has a thorough insight into the challenges these individuals face each day and is committed to helping them overcome such challenges. His compassionate, committed and caring nature will be of great value to a community and its local council which faces... its own challenges on a daily basis. Kelvin is a loyal person. Regards Miss Wilma Zanchelli Vote 1 Kelvin Small. Harrison Ward. Candidate for the People. https://facebook.com/kelvinsmallwyndham http://bit.ly/seanbridger

18.01.2022 Get to Know Me. I'll be posting a series of testimonials/endorsements of people I have had past and also present experiences with. Friends, Professionals and everyday community contacts. This is to allow you the voters to make an informed decision and choice about me. They tell their stories and I hope to connect with many of you the voters during this year’s campaign. I have been lucky to be friends with Kelvin Small for nearly two decades. Our relationship stems from a shar...ed love of the elegant game of snookera game in which Kelvin is expert. The entire time I’ve known Kelvin I’ve known him as a caring, empathic, sensitive and intelligent man who has spent his life, after a successful career playing professional basketball, committed to helping those among us who have had an unfortunate turn in their lives. It is in my understanding that much of Kelvin’s 30 year career as a social worker has involved support for individuals suffering the trauma of homelessness, many of whom also experience the hardship of polysubstance addiction. Kelvin has been tireless in supporting these people, who come in all ages and demographics, with their daily activities, as, for example, taking an acute alcoholic to the supermarket, a simple task for so many of us, but which this particular individual would never do for himself. For people like this man Kelvin offers his hand where all else have turned their shoulders. I endorse Mr. Kelvin Small for Wyndham. All levels of Australian politics desperately need more people like him. If elected, he will make and excellent, considered, stable and honest member of local parliament. 10.01.2022 Dear Wyndham and Harrison Ward Community Members. I sit on the North and West Homelessness Advisory Working Group. Back in August of this year during homelessness week we launched an Everybody Deserves a Home Campaign to End Homelessness. Fighting injustices like this is one of the platforms that I will lobby governments for to take action statewide and to support our community in Harrison Ward and the City of Wyndham. October 10th is World Homelessness Day and our working ...group will be launching a new campaign so stay tuned for the press release. We understand that homelessness is a complex issue to resolve. However, the solution is simple: we need more housing. Please take the time to read more about the campaign we launched back in August and how all of us as community members can get involved in ending homelessness. It is lengthy read but well worth it as you can see the enormous challenges ahead and how you can do your part. Vote 1 for Kelvin Small Harrison Ward Candidate For The People. 07.01.2022 Many years ago after I retired from playing Professional Basketball, I worked 11 years with the Department of Human services working at Turana Youth Training Centre. Now Melbourne Juvenile Justice Centre. Assisting young offenders and remandees in developing a sense of belonging and thriving for self confidence and self esteem. Turana was not just a centre to lock young people up. It was an environment that was designed to nurture and support these young men into turning th...eir lives around and develop skills to be more self accountable once they returned to the wider community. I developed, implemented and oversaw the centres first basketball and radio broadcasting programs. I was determined to promote the good things about the centre and to get that information out to the wider public. I contacted Spiros Soulas who was a program manager for the YMCA. I organised to run a special program and to get media involved so I contacted channel 9's A Current Affairs with Ray Martin. This is only one indication of my track record and the types of programs, advocacy and support that I am known for. Doer not a talker. Please Enjoy watching this Primetime TV Episode.
