24.01.2022 TASMANIA, JANUARY 2020 Everything must come to an end and that it has with our Tassie racing campaign all wrapped up. Things did not go the way as we hopped for and one could say we didn’t have much luck this trip, however, the bad luck was widespread amongst several of the racing teams. With everything we encountered right from the get-go when we headed off to make the trek over the other side of the country, things were just not to be. For those who believe in the power o...Continue reading

23.01.2022 LET’S GO RACING.... With Manjimup in our sights we take a casual stroll down the freeway waiting for Kid Rocket to catch up and it wouldn’t be a true race day without its hiccups. Travelling in convoy the older generation racing pulls the younger generation out of a sticky situation. With the down time since we last hit the track, a little bit of tinkering has occurred to the number 9 along with repairing all damaged caused by some bad outcomes. ... It is unfortunate that as a result of the last meeting we see a low car number appearing tonight, Hopefully with a modified format we will still put on a good show. Stayed tuned for grid draws and all results!!

22.01.2022 THE OLD GIRL IS READY TO GO!!! After being put on the back burner to the number 9, Kemble Aylett Motorsport‘s trusty old 2003 rocket bearing the number 99 is ready to hit track, crew and all. Like the main house car, the number 99 has been worked on tirelessly over the last couple of weeks kitting her out with a new body and graphics in support of creating awareness around breast cancer. ... Though the old girl is ready to be raced it is unfortunate it is without a driver due to circumstances out of our control. She maybe driverless, however, never rule her out of not being able to hit the track any time soon.

21.01.2022 The old girl comes out to dust off the cobwebs and stands up just like an old pair of shoes!!

21.01.2022 THE OLD GIRL SHINES THROUGH... The return to the much loved Albany track for Easter seen for a great weekend held by all. The weekend had us heading off with two cars in tow however only one stepped up to take on the task at hand. Kemble set out to pilot the number 9 dominator where we were finally able to see a snippet of what she is made of..... It was flying like there was no tomorrow and running on rails. Let’s just say, she certainly turned some heads and more so when ...the engine let go just two laps into hot laps, ending the weekend for the number 9 machine. Meanwhile the number 99 had veteran Ken Reid hop into the cockpit and went on to see the first night out. With being out of the division for some years the old boy struggled to get back in the swing of things and made the decision to step aside for Kemble to step back into the trusty old rocket. With Kemble piloting the old girl for the second night, rest assured she came out swinging. Only having the last two qualifying heats out of 5 the #99 had her work cut out for her to get as many points possible for the best starting position in the 35 lap feature. The first heat seen Kemble start at the back of the field and came home in 5th position. The second and final heat had the #99 start out of position three and with a good start at the drop of the flag he had moved into 2nd position halfway through the first turn. A couple of laps into the race the pilot had a bit of a whoops a daisy moment and lost two positions. Just like putting an old pair of shoes on Kemble quickly got back into the swing of driving the old girl and made up some ground and bringing her home 3rd. Out of 23 cars entered we were pleased to start out of position 12 for the final. Taking advantage of the outside line the #99 had a boomer of a start handed to the old girl and that she took up the challenge. In no time Kemble was sitting comfortably in 5th position with all the big engines in sight. Lap after lap in hot contention of 4th position we saw some good hard and fast racing and settled with crossing the line 5th. Though the old girl was never going to win...... she certainly did us proud!!! A special thanks goes out to colsey, Mitch, Graeme, Jade and Colleen for all their help and many laughs over the weekend. Without you all, maintaining two cars would not of been possible and fun held by all. https://www.facebook.com/100057307194255/videos/204507674394678/ https://www.facebook.com/100057307194255/videos/886275698877475/ https://www.facebook.com/100057307194255/videos/567730344203874/

21.01.2022 With current restrictions lifting, the count down is now on!!! Bring on the 20/21 season.

20.01.2022 SSWA Sumer Series - 15 February 2020

20.01.2022 Check out the fabulous work put together by NKC Photograph of all the nights action. https://www.facebook.com/100015873098201/posts/866516457220783/?d=n

20.01.2022 With extensive cutting and shutting done to the rear of the number 9 machine, significantly relocating things - we now move forward conducting major alterations to the front end along with maintenance checks. Meanwhile the engine is out and The James Bond Smoke Screen diagnosis is not as bad as initially thought. Just a quick freshen up with a brand new replacement cam arriving today. Stay tuned for more developments..

19.01.2022 IT COMES DOWN TO A TASTE OF BITTER SWEET!!! The relaxing of the CoVid restrictions this Easter has seen us make the long awaited trek down to Albany with both the 9 and 99. With Kemble piloting the number 9 we finally saw a snap shot of what she is made of. The dominator was flying like there was no tomorrow. She certainly turned some heads, but it wasn’t to be..... two laps into hot laps the engine let go ending the weekend for the 9 machine. ... Meanwhile the number 99 being piloted by veteran Ken Reid went on to see the first night out. Though the old boy struggled to get back in the swing of things last night, rest assured the old girl will come out swinging tonight. Ken has made the decision to step aside so we can all see what the trusty number 99 is made of with Kemble jumping into the cockpit tonight. Stay tuned for results to come by heading on over to Super Sedans WA for live streaming.

19.01.2022 THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND!!! With the car all ready to go we were hoping to give you a status update on our testing day. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be due to unforeseen circumstances. We were full steam ahead to test yesterday however that was pushed out to today and the clouds above thought the track needed some well deserved watering. With one week out to the 19/20 state title next Saturday, we will soon see the outcome of all the modifications - Putting the number 9 m...achine into the first turn flat to the floorboards. With all the new gear that has gone into the car, it is pleasing to see all weight in all the right places when she was put on the scales. Stay tuned..... for next weeks outcome

17.01.2022 WHAT BETTER WAY TO SPEND A HOT SUMMER’S DAY.... Here we are on a hot summers day at Collie speedway having another crack. After our last meeting we were happy with the way the car performed..... We are heading in the right direction with the number 9 car. More changes have been made with the lead up to tonight’s meeting with plenty more up our sleeve to do throughout the night if required. ... Kemble will in heat one and three starting out off the rear for his first heat and the front row for last. For live streaming head over to https://iframe.dacast.com/b/84888/c/451732 .

17.01.2022 Now that all the cut and shut is done which has seen major modifications, the boxing gloves came out in preparation of a ding dong battle to remove the old tired body. After 5 seasons of resistance the number #9 machine will come out of Isolation with a new body and graphics.

17.01.2022 SPECTACULAR START TO THE NIGHT!! Last night seen Kemble jumping in the #99 machine and compete in round 5 of our local summer series in WA and what a start we had in our first heat of the night. After our two qualifying heats this seen us qualify out of 4 for the feature. Early in the race seen us as strong contenders until we got caught up in amongst the hard fast racing of the front markers where a front row starter had some hard luck and clearly braking something in rear e...nd causing it to turn left on the rest of the pack. Between the damage caused to the side and rear end of the car, the old girl just didn't want to perform. Prior to heading into our second heat of the night we discovered that we had damaged a front right shock and with all our spare parts over east along with the Number 9 machine we had to make do with what we had (one spare shock, unknown where we acquired it from and some well used tyres). Heat two seen us start off the back of the pack and come home sixth. After our two qualifying heats this seen us qualify out of position 4 for the feature. Early in the race we were strong contenders until we got caught up in amongst the hard fast racing of the front markers where a front row starter had some hard luck and clearly braking something in rear end causing it to turn left on the rest of the pack. Quickly moving into 3rd place - it just wasn't to be. Between the damage caused to the side and rear end of the car, the old girl just didn't want to perform. The feature seen Kemble bring the #99 home in fifth. Next week sees the SSWA competing at Manjimup and unfortunately we will not be contending this round, due to a required diagnosis on the engine. With that being said the next time you see Kemble out on the track will be when we head east to contest the national tile at Mount Gambier on the 7/8 March in the #9 car.

16.01.2022 Weekend Review - NOW WE ARE STARTING TO HAVE SOME FUN!!! Unlike Mt Barker, we had a night full of racing where luck would have us enter the track and contest every race of the night. Since the last race meeting Kemble Aylett Motorsport replaced and fix what was required, along with a little more tinkering which has seen the number 9 really start to show what she is made of. As the saying goes patience is a virtual and we are now starting to see some rewarding results whe...re the car felt really good and it was finally able to really hang on through the turns for the first time. We would like to take the opportunity to shout out to Lee Aylett Motorsport and his crew for their continued support and help with the improvements to get this car going. A special mention also goes out to Cam, Colesy, Kelly and Nikaela for all there help at the track on the weekend. Without all your help, race day would of been more challenging and the results we achieved would not of been possible. On the track the dominator was able to pull of a couple of outside passes through out the night on very slick dusty track that only accommodated a single race line. Heat one had Kemble start off the front row and when they came around for the start he got jump on the outside car and continue on to lead the race from start to finish, taking the win. In the pits some minor adjustments were made for the second heat that had Kemble starting off the rear to allow for some clean and clever outside passes to be made. In no time Kemble was sitting in a comfortable 4th position where he finished behind son Lee who took the win. Heading in heat three seen the highest points scorers started off the rear and with some good results in our first two heats we were set to start near the rear of the pack and we came home with a 5th. During the track grade the pit gates opened and the crowds flooded in and we were able see the pure joy and excitement of some who couldn’t believe they were able to jump in the cockpit to see what it’s all about. With the three heats done and dusted we were set for a boomer of a start out of position 4 for the feature. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be, Kemble was having to back out of the throttle on the drop of the green flag to accommodate a unpredictable reaction of one of the front row starters. As he backed out, one of the back markers didn’t read the traffic the same and whaled the number 9 causing it to turn around in front of the traffic. The car and Kemble were then forced to park up and watch from the infield with a flat left rear. Our next meeting takes us back to the south west with Bunbury being on the 13th February. On track photos courtesy of Fastlane Photography.

15.01.2022 Mt Barker.... WEEKEND REVIEW Although our day was cut short by the Chinaman putting up a stampede in dissatisfaction about Lady Luck taking hold, we still had some positive results in the way the #9 car is handling. Kemble Aylett Motorsport along with Lee Aylett Motorsport have made some headway with the number 9 and it felt really good and for the first time it has finally been able to get it to hang on through the turns. ... A huge thanks goes out to Lee, Graham and Mitch for their ongoing support and help over the last few months while we continually work on the improvements. On the day, what appeared to look like a wet track visually was in fact a dry and dusty track where the stagger set up for a hooking track made for a loose car in the first heat. The second heat seen the stagger come off and the car had a boomer of start as it launched out of position 4 and that’s where our night ended. Not one lap down, a complete restart was called upon and from the second green flag dropping Kemble was aware something had broken in the rear end which made for a very difficult car to navigate around the track. The Chinaman had gone out with a bang taking the lift arm with him and ending our day. Our next show will see us at Margaret River on the 23 January.

14.01.2022 Weekend Review.... REBUILD AND REGROUP!!! While we had some good results on the track the trip home from Collie was quite testing, seeing us stranded on the side of the road with a unhealthy transporter. On the track the #9 car is getting better and better where we have seen an 80% improvement in comparison to last year. Just a few more tweaks to get to it hang on a little better and then we will see some rewarding results with Kemble being able to drive it to the maximum a...bility. Results for the weekend: Heat one seen Kemble start of the rear and finish third place ahead of his son Lee. Heat two seen the car start off the front row out of pole position where Kemble dominated the start with the dropping of the green flag, creating a shock n ore moment in crowd when simply just driving off and leaving the outside car. It was unfortunate a couple of laps in the car just wouldn’t hold on through turns 1&2 which resulted in a second place finish. The final seen Kemble qualifying off the second row (position 3). What a great start it was for all the cars starting out of the front two rows, with it being anyone’s race for the first few laps. The first half seen Kemble driving the car at 80% and trying different lines of the track in effort to get it to hang on through the turns. The top of the track seemed much better, however, it wasn’t the fastest line on the night. At the mid point of the race some in car adjustments seen the car start to react and come to the race, leaving the run too late with the fastest times being recorded at later part of the race. Next race meeting sees us at Mt Barker on 2 January 2021

14.01.2022 With the 20/21 season nearly upon us, we thought it was time for an update on the number 9 machine. With all the time we have had up our sleeve in the off season the car has had some extensive work done on it with the ultimate result of having it perform as it should. A snap shot of what’s been done.... - The engine freshened up with new parts out of the US and about to be put back in over the next week or two.... - Major cutting and shutting done which has seen drastic modifications to the front and rear ends. -Shocks and springs changed along with running a completely new setup. -Complete new body we put on and now awaiting something completely new with the graphics..... Stay Tuned!!! Once the number 9 is completed we then move onto the trusty old 99 machine...... Also stay tuned

13.01.2022 ALBANY BOUND FOR THE 19/20 STATE TITLE!!! We have set sail for Albany, driving in convoy with plenty of time up our sleeve and what better way to waste time by heading to tonight’s practice session at Albany’s Attwell park speedway. We will soon see just what the number 9 is made of.

13.01.2022 It is with heavy hearts that we say our farewell to one of Aylett Motorsport’s pit crew, with the passing of Darren Lawson. After a long battle with illness, he quietly slipped away this morning. RIP Darren, you will be forever missed.

12.01.2022 GRAND NATIONAL - Night Two Review After working overtime on the car to get it back up and running as a result of the first nights damage we were set for a great nights racing. The second night of the Grand National made for a much nicer car to steer in comparison to the previous night and week which also seen the luck of the Chinamen change. ... The on track racing continued to be hard and fast all night where like ourselves everyone jumped on every opportunity to move forward. Heat 12 had us starting out of position 1 and with a car that showed it was starting to stand up and fight back on the run of bad luck, we were able to finish the heat in second ahead of Kane, Cory Smith, Howells, Sonners, Dillon and Anning. This giving us a boost in points and seeing us jump up the points ladder. Heat 14 saw us starting off the pack of the pack out of position 9 with all the big hitters starting off the front rows. Once we were able to get past the slower back markers and with a car that continued to be more and more responsive and give us the results we hoped for, we were able to chase down the front runners to finish sixth behind Pascoe, Kane, Nicola and Howells. After having some pleasing results in our last two qualifying heats the pole shuffle seen us starting out of 16. The final had us starting out of position 17 And the start seen us drop back a couple of spots to quickly make them up once the rest of the field and the car settle down and got into a groove. By lap 13 Kemble was able to make his way through the pack more and move into position 15, However, the Chinamen reared his head once more and with a very rough track the radiator had jumped out of its cradle and back into the fan seeing us retire on the infield. A massive thanks goes out to Steven,Darren, Rodney, Darren (Dazza) and Andrew who worked tirelessly all day and night on the car to make the necessary repairs and changes to have a car do what was asked of it.

10.01.2022 WITH THE NEW YEAR COMES A NEW PLAN!!! Today sees us contesting round four of the SSWA summer series at Mount Barker. With the new year upon us, we’re hoping the Chinaman has flown the coupe and ladies luck has jumped on board with Kemble Aylett Motorsport for the last half of the season.... Heading into this round the number 9 machine has been rescaled along with some more tinkering..... so let’s see what today brings! Providing the plan continues in the positive direction as it has been, we are set for a good days racing today.

10.01.2022 GRAND NATIONAL - Night One Review After working tirelessly all week on the car, we were set for a great nights racing to show case the changes made to car during the week. Last night the car show glimpses of a much nicer car to steer in comparison to the previous week, However, the luck of the Chinamen still reared it’s ugly head. ... The on track racing was hard and fast all night where like ourselves everyone jumped on every opportunity to move forward. A massive thanks goes out to Steven, Darren, Rodney, Darren (Dazza)and Andrew who worked overtime on the car to repair necessary damage between quick turnaround heats. Heat one seen us starting out of position 3 which saw us retire to the infield with flat right rear and broken brake line again which all was the result of on field contact. Heat two seen us start out of 6 and with a car that had bandaid fixes l, knowing how it was going to react was unknown. The start seen us drop back to seventh with a car that was clearly still impaired with damages from the previous heat. We fought our way though the race and finished fifth. Heat three seen us start off the back of the pack which seen us move into fifth quite quickly to soon be sent to the rear for contact on another car. The heat seen us finish in sixth. Going into the preliminary final we were sitting in position 20 on points which seen us start off the back of the pack (10) with some hard hitters to compete with. Unable to fix the car at the track seen us fight our way into eighth and then chase down the main pack quickly and contend for position 7. However there just wasn’t enough laps in the race and it wasn’t to be. Going into the last night of the Grand National we are not sitting in a position we hoped for, however moving forward as team we have regrouped and are up and fixing what needs to be fixed under light. We hit tonight to contest our last two qualifying heats which see us starting out of positions 1 and 9.

09.01.2022 GRAND VOYAGE TO THE SOUTH WEST !!! Today sees us travelling to the south west region contesting round five of the SSWA summer series at Margaret River. With Lee Aylett In tow behind, Margaret River Augusta speedway will once again see the force of the Aylett boy’s back this year.... Heading into this round the number 9 machine has told the chinaman to keep his souvenir - the lift arm has been replaced and shock absorber repaired. We are set for the plan to continue in the positive direction as it has been, which will make for a good nights racing from the Aylett clan. For tonight live streaming head on over to Super Sedans WA .

08.01.2022 NEARLY READY FOR SOME NOISE!!! The light at the end of the tunnel is fast approaching with the Engine fitted and all plumbed up, except for the radiator hoses. We are on schedule to turn the engine over next weekend and hear some long awaited noise coming from the #9 machine. that the major changes we have made to the engine in the off season will see it in peak performance as it was the first season. Over the next few weeks we will work on the shocks, spring rates, all t...he bar lengths while we await our scheduled book-in date for the graphics. With a bit of luck we will be ready for our planned testing day, so stay tuned for the new graphics and results from testing.

06.01.2022 MT BARKER FINALE!! Here we are in Mt Barker for the final round of the SSWA summer series. Car is unloaded, the waiting game over and first round of heats run.... Round one (heat two) had Kemble draw position 3 which soon changed when the pole sitter elected to start back in the pack, giving Kemble a front row start - which had Kemble dominate from start to finish. https://www.facebook.com/385472578194444/videos/438442877491402/ Second round of heats will see reverse grind giving Kemble another second row start out of 3. Only time will time will tell what the rest of the day brings.... stayed tuned. Updates in this status.

04.01.2022 COVID-19, LOVE IT OR HATE IT? How things change with Coverd 19, some are taking advantage of it in every way they can. You might want to say in our case we also did. As you all might be aware from previous posts - we used the time in lockdown wisely when it came to the number nine machine. During this time everything except the fuel tank and seat was changed in effort to get the car performing as it should. ... Heading out into the first practice session last night was the unknown, we were either going to love it or hate it.!! We are pleased to say the long hours spent on the car during COVID-19 has paid off remarkably. Heading out to each practice session the car got better and better along getting faster each time.

03.01.2022 HERE SHE IS!! We said the new graphics was soon to be unveiled....Well here it is!!! And, What better way to make an entrance than release a double banger for you all... the number 9 machine has finally made some noise after the engine received a freshen up in the off season. ... A long awaited sound we had missed given the extended off season we have all encountered and it was like music to the ears. With the 20/21 season only weeks away, We are hopeful that this one is one to be watched, with an engine that is very responsive and crisp along with all the modifications made, we are set to make our mark.
