25.01.2022 FFA Cup Rd 3 16/03- Saints has a long and proud history in this national knockout, and that continued last Tuesday evening. Saints took on West Kempsey club Macleay Valley Rangers for the first time in this format. With a very young side this year and with former juniors Evan Clarke and Dan Baker taking on co-captain/coach roles it was an enthusiastic Green and White support crew that was eager to see the 2021 season underway. Saints looked comfortable from the start. They ...played with lots of pace and determination from start to finish. It was the German wizard, Cedric Bloedorn that opened the scoring in the 39th minute with a clever tap past the MVR keeper after a blistering run down the right from Nick Wright. Tensions boiled over in the 54th minute with an MVR player marched for violent conduct. Two other cards were also given for players becoming involved. So it was 10 v 9 for the last 36 minutes which saw the game open right up and player attrition put to the test. Saints went 2-0 up four minutes later with a trademark left foot drive from Clarke to mark his return to Saints. MVR to their credit never gave up and got back to 2-1 only a few minutes later despite being a man down. It was club stalwart Harry James who put it beyond reach in the 63rd minute when he ran the underlap and latched onto a ball in behind the defence. And as long time supporters know when James drives into the opposition box, he’s as cool as a cucumber and with nerves of steel slotted it past the advancing MVR keeper. Final score KSFC 3- MVR 1 Rd 4 opponent still to be decided.

17.01.2022 UPDATE: Training: we hope to get the last of our teams sorted and lists out to coaches this week. We will ask them to contact you and let you know when training starts. Kick-Off: CPL was supposed to start on Saturday. The weather intervened and that round was postponed. So our CPL squad now starts this Saturday with the derby v MVR. All other comps will start on the 7th/8th May.... Uniforms: all clothing has arrived. Shirts will be distributed by coaches. Shorts and socks that were ordered can be paid for and collected from the canteen. The canteen will open several afternoons closer to kick-off and all details posted here. Season Launch: Thanks to everyone who made it to the West Kempsey Hotel on Saturday night for our season launch. It was a great night and CPL once again hold the Chocolate Bar Relay title. Best & Worst of our Community: disappointingly we have suffered from theft and vandalism. A set of existing crossbars and a second set donated by Alex and Greg from ALX Plumbing last year were stolen from Eden St in the off-season. Fortunately DGI Trading has generously offered to replace both sets. The amenities have suffered fire damage over the weekend and hopefully we can work with Kempsey Shire Council to have it available ASAP. Eden St: The upgrade continues and much is started and no football facilities are finished yet. This will impact on our season, but hopefully the long-term benefits will be worthwhile. We ask everyone to be cautious around the fields and the car-parks with construction occurring throughout the precinct. Note: this info has been emailed as well. If you do not receive this by email, you are not registered on play football. Cheers Kevin Sinclair

14.01.2022 Local Derby this weekend, be great to see a big Saints crowd there to support the boys.

13.01.2022 All Seniors and U18s, don't forget our Shirt Presentation tonight! 6pm at the West Kempsey Hotel, see you there!

10.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFO- SEASON POSTPONED 6s MUSTER STILL ON TODAY Hi all, Due to the recent flood event, FMNC has decided to postpone the start of the season by 3 weeks. This will mean all community comps from U6s to NL/WNL will commence on May 7th/8th. CPL is unchanged, still starting on April 10th. ... This will mean all clubs who have amenities and fields effected by flood damage some time to get things right. The length of the regular season will remain the same as changes will be made to each final series to allow all other rounds to be completed. What this means for Saints: The club is currently finalising teams and contacting coach's. So once that is completed we will ask coach's to contact their players to confirm their team placement and when training starts. To allow the fields to dry out and maintenance to occur we are asking that all teams delay the start of their training until the first week back at school in term 2. If any team wants to start earlier, if the dry weather continues one week earlier should be ok. Playing shirts will be handed out by coach's at training. All other clothing collected at canteen, times and dates will be posted when finalised. Senior shirt presentation is still on Friday April 9th. More information posted as it arrives.

10.01.2022 Registration check- an email which was a copy of the post regarding season postponement was sent via our club's "play football" portal. If you did not receive this email that may mean you are one of the 55 players still to register. Registering on play football will assist us greatly in making up our team sheets to hand on to our coach's Thanks... Kevin See more
