13.01.2022 An article in the newspaper today talks about a Wellbeing Officer in schools to identify toddlers with potential mental illness and send them to a psychologist. Wow. Most anxiety is learned from the primary care giver, so ask them for support, preferably from a CBT specialist to ID what type of anxiety and to offer parenting skills in how not to pass it on to their little one. To send a toddler to a psych to get labelled while the issue is still heavy at home will RAISE stigma, will Raise jumping on meds instead of working through the issue. If you do have anxiety and are worried about passing it on to your children, contact the Healthy Mind Centre and attend the next Healthy Mind Workshops
