24.01.2022 Well done Brydie ! it may not be a half a million dollars but you are one little person making a difference in your own way. I am so proud of you Darling. Everyone get on board every ticket for $5 counts. If you can't spare the $5 then please help by sharing. "From little things big things grow".

23.01.2022 Mum comes down to my studio on a regular basis and it doesn't matter what painting I have just done, her statement is ALWAYS the same, "Darling I think that's the best painting you've ever done". I'll admit it's flattering but she's really bias. My answer is "Come on Mum you say that every time.Ii tell you what when it's the best I've ever done I'll let you know." Three weeks ago I walked upstairs to Mum's granny flat and said "Come down to my studio Mum because on the easel is The Best Painting I've EVER Done". I absolutely LOVE this piece and it's currently at the Montville Gallery. I'm secretly hoping it doesn't sell because it's a keeper. I'd love to know what think.xxxx

22.01.2022 Mystical, magical and serene is how I would describe this piece. It takes me to a place I would love to sit and think. This is why I have called it "On Reflection". It's 900mm high x 1200 mm wide and my 'special' this month, it's a fantastic price. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Please let me know what you think and PM me if you are interested. X

22.01.2022 I'm not sure what everyone else did this Anzac Day weekend probably at home in isolation, I was also in isolation creating this mural for the children's play room that I donated to The House the Coast Built for Wishlist. It's so wonderful to be a part of the Coasts first Emergency Accommodation Facility located near the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. A huge"Thank you" to Dulux for supplying some of my paint and a huge congratulations to the amazing Lisa Rowe and her wonderful team at Wishlist. It's just such a gorgeous place , you all should be so very proud of your efforts as should all the wonderful businesses that stepped up to make this happen. So here is the finished mural titled "Froth and Bubbles ". I'm really happy with the end result, please feel free to let me know what you think. Gosh.. I just LOVE painting murals.xx

18.01.2022 Anyone who has followed my work from the beginning will know that some of my original paintings were of jazz musicians and bar life. So I drew my inspiration for this piece yesterday from the past. I just wanted to create something with fun and frivolity and was festive! It's a blast from the past and I'm loving it sick! It was so much fun to create and it's so much fun to look at. It's called "10 after midnight in the piano bar all hell breaks loose" Please let me know if it brings you as much pleasure to look at as it did for me to paint. xx

16.01.2022 This is my latest piece, hot off my easel . It's 1000mm high x 800 mm wide and landed on the wall of Art Nuvo Gallery in Buderim today. It's titled "She's so Pretty", I think she is and would be interested to see if you think so too.xx

15.01.2022 One of my favourite things to paint are lily ponds - this piece is my special for this week. It's thick luscious and slightly abstracted as you can see. It's 1000mm high x 800mm wide and titled "Reflections in Blue". It's a bit different from my usual style, I am just "testing the water" so to speak! I like it. ... Please let me know your thoughts and PM me for a fantastic price if you're interested! XX

15.01.2022 This pretty pink number is rightfully called 'A Pretty Posy' I'd love for you to comment and let me know what you think of this piece xx

14.01.2022 Here is my painting for the Give Me 5 for Kids auction this coming Tuesday night at the Kon Tiki Building in Maroochydore from 6pm. Those of you who saw my post on Wednesday with a background for this particular piece are probably looking at this and thinking "That's not the same background" , well you would be correct. I finished my other painting and was trying to force dry it when I had an incident and bucked the board under the canvas, so it was " Back to the drawing board " pardon the pun, on Thursday to create another piece for this very worthwhile event. Soooo here it is, it's 1000 mm high x 800 mm wide and is called "Moroccan Dreams". The colours, textures and patterns remind me of the rich tapestries in Morocco. Personally I love it and hope you do to. Please let me know what you think.xxx

12.01.2022 I have always had a fascination about lighthouses and the people who live their lives within them. This is my latest series of "Light up my Life" paintings. These are on sale now at Art Nuvo Gallery in Buderim as part of their "Foreshore" exhibition. The originals are 60cm x 30cm on stretched canvas and are $850 each. I was so happy with them I have sent them to limited edition prints on stretched canvas for $350 each, in fact the prints are so good I had to run my hand over them to work out which was the original. Please let me know what you think or PM if you are interested. Personally I am in in love with them. SHIPS AHOY!x

11.01.2022 Some of you will remember this background it was the one I posted on the 5th of June for the Give me 5 for Kids auction and then disaster stuck and I buckled the ply underneath the canvas and had to do another painting for the charity auction. Well here it is restretched hot off the easel and my special for this week. It's 900mm x 900 mm just gorgeous and the title is " The Resurrection" most suitable I think. I am beyond happy with how it has turned out thinking I might have had some "divine intervention", let me know what you think and PM me if you are interested.xx

09.01.2022 Ready for the dawn of a very different Anzac Day. I spent some time this afternoon creating my very small token of a shining light ready for tomorrow morning. I hope that tomorrow makes people reflect on the women, men, dogs ,horses and donkeys that gave their lives and suffered unbearable hardship so that we could live this amazing life that we do, a life of freedom. I hear people complaining about having to be in isolation but this is nothing compared to what was endured in war and the hardships that so many people suffer on a daily basis. Light a candle, think kind thoughts , look after each other and take stock of how luck we really all are Lest we forget. x

08.01.2022 4 years ago today was life changing for me. I lost the man that made me who I am today. He was my mentor, my confidant my friend and father figure, his name was John Keeble Winn, Winnie as he was affectionately known by all those who held him near and dear. He was simply the most wonderful man I have EVER known and not a day or hour goes past that I don't think of him. You were simply "THE BEST". In the words of John Keeble Winn and I live by this quote "How you make others feel about themselves says a lot about you!" Thank you for you love , kindness and wisdom but most of all "THANK YOU" for being part of my life and bringing me Val and Tally into my and my families world. The song goes "To know him was to love him, he must be a hell of a man" and YOU WERE!!!! To the moon and back.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

08.01.2022 Here is my latest creation "Breathtaking in Blue" . Just dropped it off at Art Nuvo Gallery in Buderim. I am so happy with it. I just love the way the colour pallet flows, I think it's really pretty. Please let me know what you think.xxx

07.01.2022 Here is my gorgeous Christmas special, it's called "You light up my Life" it's 60cm high x 120 cm wide please PM for a price if you are interested.xx

06.01.2022 So I just had the most amazing thing happen to me. I went to Liqourland to buy a bottle of wine and I was at the counter and am wearing my paint splattered work clothes and boots and the girl serving me made the comment "So you look like you have a real job??????" My answer as per usual when someone makes a rude comment about my workwear was "Yes , I can do nothing all day and put these clothes and and look like I've been flat out". With that a beautifully dressed woman... in a business suit said to the girl "Don't you f...ing dare speak to her like that! That's one of the most derogatory things I have ever heard said to a fellow woman! Do you not know who she is?" I'm thinking "Who is this Superstar I've never seen her before in my life", then she proceeds to tell this girl who I am and about my artwork. It was surreal and then she left her expensive box of Champagne on the counter and told the girl to "STICK IT". The girl was apologising and I told her it was "OK" and the the lady stopped at the door and said "NO IT"S F.....ING NOT" and left. So "Thank you" to whoever you are lovely lady for sticking up for me. This sort of thing happens to me all the time. People STOP judging each other, it's just WRONG!I have proudly brought my children up to judge no one and I myself live by this. Tonight was a classic case of the woman straightening the others crown. LOVE IT! And bless you beautiful lady in your gorgeous black power suit !

06.01.2022 Well I'm officially a "Covergirl", I managed to score the cover of the My Weekly Preview this week on Sunshine Coast and I didn't even have to commit a crime to get it! Lucky for me! Here is the story below. I would just like to say a HUGE "THANK YOU" to My Weekly Preview for bestowing this on me, it's truly an honour. You'll never know how happy you've made my mother you've given her bragging rights for at least the next 10 years. Also a MASSIVE, "Thank you " to the very gifted and talented writer Roxanne McCarty-O'Kane for my story and the extremely creative and talented Greg Gardener my photographer that is not only a magician but did exactly what I asked and photo shopped me within an inch of my life! It's probably on you driveway now so just remember when you back out your driveway tomorrow that's my face your all over! XXXXX

01.01.2022 It's with a heavy heart and much sadness that I post this tonight. Yesterday Toowoomba lost a legend. My friend and a man that I so admired John Orford passed away. (Orford Refrigeration) John was not only a great businessman, family man and tireless charity supporter he was all about Toowoomba the it's sense of community spirit. I met John more than 30 years ago and we became friends. I painted John's portrait as part of my "Profiles on Canvas" exhibition decades ago. When I... painted this exhibition I chose 20 of Toowoomba's most high profile citizens, rather than just paint them from a photograph sat with each of them so that I could get an insight as to where they came from and who they were underneath their skins. I wanted to paint them from the "Inside out". This was where I had the privilege of getting to know John and who he really was. For all his accolades and accomplishments he was one of the most kind, decent and humble men I have ever known. A friendship started there and grew over the years. John and Glenda have always been nothing but supportive of me and I hope he realised how much it meant to me. I was lucky enough to spend some time 4 weeks ago with John along with my brother Garth. He still had the same sense of humour that he always had and was the dignified man that I always knew. I have always always thought the world of him. They say that "it's more important to be a good man rather than a than a great man" John Orford was both.... I want John's beautiful wife Glenda and their family to know how sorry I am for their loss. John Orford "The man , the myth, the legend" and did I happen to mention to once or twice ...... My friend.. RIP See more

01.01.2022 What can I say except for "Gorgeous"!
