15.01.2022 Big crowd at our Rd 1 encounter with Frankland. Obviously turning up for the cricket and not the Kendenup Book launch... The lads started the season well with a big win. Winning the toss we had a bat and got off to a flyer thanks to Tristan Ballard (29) and Jarrad Beech (46) putting on a 60 run opening partnership. We then moved to 3/100 before a big partnership between Keegan Berry (37) and Clinton Gilbert (63) moved us to 4/197. The innings was well finished off by Benny Ol...dfield (24*) and Tuckie Corona (19*) with our score finishing at 5/243 from our 45 overs. Both lads getting red ink to aid our fines money kitty. Thank you! With a big total on the board our opening bowlers set the scene with Keegan Berry ripping through them taking 4/20 from 8.3 overs. First game for the club Mitch Jackson taking 2/15 bowled well! Other wicket takers were Dwayne Sobey rolling back his form of a few years ago with 2/3 off 4 overs and Andrew Slade 2/21 off 4 overs. We ended up dismissing Frankland for 90. Fair few extras to boost the fines kitty, thanks to the bowlers for the funds! Next weekend we have another home game vs Broomehill. Trainings Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 5pm.

12.01.2022 Cricket training. Training is underway for the upcoming season! Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 5pm at the oval nets. New players most welcome! 11.01.2022 Rd 7 at home vs Tambellup Kendenup 7/207 def by Tambellup 5/210 Winning the toss we had a bat. We got off to a flyer with Scott Hillman looking ominous until he was undone for 21. We then lost another quickly to be 2/38 in the 8th over. From here we had another brilliant partnership between opener Darcey Burcham and Clinton Gilbert who put on 121 when Gilbert departed for 66. From there we had a mini collapse and when Burcham fell for a well made 62 we were 6/180. We managed ...to get to 207 with Sobes making 13 and Tristan Ballard making 8*. Bowling wise we got off to a great start reducing Tambellup to 4/48 when wily veteran Jarrad Beech got his second wicket in two balls. Unfortunately no hat trick and from there it was tough going with Tambellup putting on a huge partnership to get themselves across the line at 5/210 in the 43rd over. Beech 2/19 off 4, Burcham 1/34 off 8 and Keegan Berry 1/41 off 8 the wicket tackers. The season now goes into harvest break with our next game in early January vs Australs at home.

10.01.2022 Here is the Rd 5,6 and 7 wrap as we head into the annual harvest break. We will start with Rd 7. Kendenup 7/205 def Wanderers 77.... An awesome display by gun recruit Mitch Jackson who opened the batting and carried his bat on his way to his maiden century, ending the innings on a terrific 127 not out! Well batted! Not to be out done he then took 4/22 off six overs to cap off a bog performance. Other key contributions include Scott Hillman 19 and Jay Rowles who bowled well for 3/19! Rd 6 vs Broomehill away. Broomehill 106 lost to Kendenup 2/108. Bowling first they got away to a flyer before president Jarrad Beech stepped up taking a very impressive 4/19 from 6 overs. First bowl for awhile so puts pressure on the skip to throw him the ball more often! In reply we made the runs 2 wickets down. Scott Hillman making 36 not out, J Beech 26 and the returning Daniel Rees 34. Shout out to Broomehill’s juniors who played all performing very well in their first hit outs at senior level! Rd 5 vs Tambellup at home Kendenup 8/161 vs Tambellup 0/17. Unfortunately the weather got the better of a good game with the game being abandoned early in Tambellups innings. Batting wise Dan Rees and Mitch Jackson were our main contributors making 45 and 65 respectively. Also Matt Gilbert made an impressive late cameo of 25 to get us to 8/161. We return after harvest break to play Tambellup in early January which shapes as a big game.

05.01.2022 Good win yesterday vs Wanderers. After losing the toss we got an early breakthrough through Jezza Groves. From there Wanderers moved to 1/41. From there it was the Darcey Burcham and Keegan Berry Show. Darcey taking 5/10 off 8 overs and Keegan 3/10 off 8 overs. Great bowling spell cleaning Wanderers up for 57! In the chase Scott Hillman top scored with 21, Jarrad Beech made 14 and we got there 3 wickets down in the 14th over.... Next game is away to an inform Broomehill.

04.01.2022 Great fundraiser for the club! Please grab a few tickets and you win the car! Cheers Toyota!

01.01.2022 Rd 6 (late post) Away vs Australs Kendenup 3/45 def Australs 44... Stinking hot day we lost the toss and got sent into the field. One of our better bowling performances for the year bowling Australs out for 44 in the 23rd over. Wickets were shared between Keegan Berry 3/9 off 7, Darcey Burcham 3/6 off 4, and debutant Lewis Miller 2/15 off 4. With a few minor hiccups we chased down the total 3 wickets down. Debutant Lewis Miller making 9 with AJ top scoring with 19.
