The evidence has shown over and over that kids who start school without the necessary resources start behind and struggle to catch up the whole way through. That's before you account for the social stigma and mental health impacts of poverty and associated bullying through no fault of your own. 03.01.2022 Jingeri jimbelung! (Hello friend) We had a lovely day at Praise playgroup yesterday celebrating NAIDOC week. Thank you to Uncle Barry Watson for joining us. The children enjoyed story time and the hunting game. We enjoyed some delicious bush tucker and planted some native, edible plants in our community garden with Satoko. Our wonderful Griffith University students Amanda, Mel and Demi did a fantastic job organising the morning. Thanks to The Salvation Army Communities for Children (CFC), Logan for funding the morning. Praise playgroup is on Monday mornings from 9:30-11:30 during the school term. Hope to see you there next week Always was, always will be
