25.01.2022 Three Grades. Three Semi finals! The first time in a long time that we've had three grades in Finals, with the A's away against Fitzroy, and the B's and C's hosting finals.... It's going to be a great sight to see the both grounds in use for finals at KCC. Best of luck to everyone this weekend. 25.01.2022 MID SEASON/END OF YEAR REPORT Some fantastic cricket has been played by all our teams this summer and at the halfway point in the season all 3 teams are in contention for a place in the finals. Kenilworth I have won 5 of their 6 games and are in third place on the table. Captain Inazir Wazeer is the top run scorer with 259 runs and leg spinner Moosa Syed is the top wicket taker with 17 wickets.... Kenilworth II have also won 5 of their 6 games and are in second place on the table. Captain Ravi Gauri is the top run scorer with 297 runs and fast bowler Shohidul Haq Shezan is the top wicket taker with 17 wickets. Kenilworth III have won 2 of their 4 games are in fourth place on the table. Their top scorer is Sachin Bangera with 135 runs and their top wicket taker is Anil Chinthakuntla with 7 wickets. Well done to all the players for their performances so far and we look forward to the second half of the season in the New Year. With four games remaining in the season, the finals are beginning to take shape. 23.01.2022 Best of Luck to the B and C grade as they both look to bring home the premiership trophies. It's been 4 seasons since the KCC has taken home some silverware - so c'mon lads, bring it home! :)

23.01.2022 The last two rounds have come and gone, and there's lots to catch up on! Round 5, saw the A-grade return to the winner's list, with a 29 run win vs Coromandel II. The B's & C's suffered their first defeats for the season.... Batting was the hallmark of the B's season, thus far, however it was North Haven's day after bowling out the team for 86, chasing 136. C's, on paper, had won their match, however due to them taking the field with only 6 players, the match was declared a forfeit. Round 6 The A's were unable to hold off a well organised Fitzroy A grade, after posting their lowest total for the season, of 90. Fitzroy, despite the loss of early wickets, rallied well to finish the game with 6 wickets left in hand. The B's returned to their winning ways, with captain Inazir Wazeer notching his first century of the year, with 112. The C's fell short of Plympton's total of 148, after being bowled out of 130. Who knows what a few more batsmen could have done? Back to back losses for the C's. 17.01.2022 ##### RD 4 RESULTS ##### Great results for the A's and C's this round, while the B's had two weeks off with the bye. The A's won comfortably against Warradale, after bowling the opposition inside of 39 overs. The A's pushed for an outright victory, however they weren't able to bowl Warradale out in their second innings. Solid performances with the bat, with Ravi Gauri top scoring with 42, and Toby Shearer continuing his great form with his power hitting.... I had to look at the scores very carefully, for the C-grade, but it was an absolute run-fest against Port Noarlunga IV! A combined total of 672 runs were scored. An absolute display of power hitting to close out the game. With 127, coming from just 8 overs, in the second innings, clinching an outright victory. The C-grade remain undefeated! 17.01.2022 Great day for the club today as both teams won their quarterfinals in the @saca_cricket Winter T20 competition. Kenilworth Phoenix chased down 120 to defeat Himalayan Warriors and Kenilworth CC defended 182 against Adelaide Qalandars. Many good performances from both sides, with Vipul Jain from Kenilworth CC being award Player of the Match for his 40 not out off just 16 balls and 3/25 off 2.5 overs.

16.01.2022 After a disappointing start to the summer season, all our teams bounced back with much improved performances in the second round. Kenilworth I defeated Afghan Cricket Club after putting up 7/217 and bowling out Afghan CC for 114. Askar Hussain top scored with 66 and captain Inazir Wazeer made 47. Divyesh picked up 4/30. Kenilworth II won against Sheidow Park after putting up 9/254 with stellar batting performances by Chris Robertson (84), Russell King (40), Deepan Sharma (30)..., Shohidul Haq Shezan (33). In response, Sheidow Park were bowled out for 56 with Shezan picking up 6/9 and Deepan picking up 3/11. Kenilworth III came really close against ICC Sharks after putting up 126 and defending it until the last over of the match. Sachin Bangera was the pick of the batsmen with 66, while Chintan Viroja picked up 3 wickets. Musab Bin Umair and Sachin Bangera also contributed with a couple of wickets each.

16.01.2022 Big congratulations to Chris Robertson @cruzn99 on his 100th game for the club. With this milestone he becomes a lifetime member of the club, same as his father Neville Robertson. We look forward to watching you play many more games in the years to come!

14.01.2022 A big well done to @prabhatmehla who was awarded Player of the Match in the quarterfinal against Himalayan Warriors. His 48 with the bat at the top of the order and 1/11 in 2 overs ensured a Kenilworth Phoenix win and helped them qualify for the semifinal this Sunday. Kenilworth Phoenix play against Spartans at 1pm this Sunday and Kenilworth CC play against Superstars at 1pm as well.

The games are always on a Saturday from 1pm to 5pm. We play on different ovals mainly in the south of the city. Our home ground is in the parklands off Greenhill rd. Our nets and clubs are opp the KFC on Greenhill rd. We are a truly multicultural club with players from all walks of life and all ages - we only have one thing in common and that is our love for cricket. 14.01.2022 In January this year, Kenilworth Cricket Club was featured in Australian Cricketers' Association's @aca_players & Cricket Australia's @cricketaustralia Stories from the Grassroots Cricket Fund #grassrootscricketfund campaign. It featured several members of the club along with our Club President, Johnny Gritzalis, and Australian cricketer Megan Schutt @megan_schutt3. Our players spoke about where they're from and the hardships they've faced, and how cricket has helped them fe...el like they belong here and are a part of a community. Diversity and inclusivity are important core values at the club. We believe no one should experience any inequality, or injustice, or bigotry and we pride ourselves on playing the game in the proper spirit and making sure there is no place for hate on or off the cricket field. 14.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we farewell a club legend and life member, Terry Cooper aged 72 after a long battle with cancer. Terry was a decorated A-grade player in the late 1960s to late 1990s. In retirement, Terry was also the Agrade scorer for over 10 years while his sons Craig, Stephen and Matthew all played for the club. Terry was a major part of a golden era of the Kenilworth Cricket club, winning 4 Section 1 premierships when the club was the pacesetter of the assoc...iation. Terry earnt Life Membership of the association having played 250 games in 1986, he retired with a total games of 417 He was also honoured with being elected in the Association's team of the century. Terry was also an A premiership player and life member of the Goodwood Saints football club having played 234 games. Terry is survived by wife Colleen, sons Craig, Stephen and Matthew and daughter Jenny His funeral will be at the Florey Chapel Centennial Park Saturday 1st February 2020 at 10am and a wake will be held afterwards at 49 Caulfield Avenue Cumberland Park Absolutely everyone is welcome to attend. 11.01.2022 A fantastic weekend for the club with all three teams registering big wins. Kenilworth I beat Warradale II outright to consolidate their position at the top of the table. Kenilworth II defended 140 to bowl the top team Southern Warriors out for 89 and are now top of the table in their section.... Kenilworth III beat the top side Coromandel V and are now in a position to qualify for the finals next month. A massive well done to all the players! 11.01.2022 Kenilworth Cricket Club captain @rsgauri was awarded the player of the match in a @saca_cricket Super T20 game against Singh Warriors earlier today. He scored 94 in just 53 balls to help KCC put up 161 in their 20 overs, which they defended to win by 40 runs. Both KCC teams are in the quarterfinals next Sunday, 13th of September.

10.01.2022 To everyone at the club, Happy New Year! I hope everyone's enjoyed their Christmas and New Year's holidays, as we're heading into the back-half of the season.... Three is definitely our magic number, with all three grades in the hunt for finals, sitting in third spot in their respective sections. We return to a new round of matches, with one-day games kicking off the start of the season. Some milestones to celebrate from last round. A really determined partnership between Ankit Mehta & Mathew Stancl, of 143, set up the win in the A-grade. Mat gets the A-grade's first century, notching up 123, and not to be outdone, Ankit scored 53! B-Grade's Khalid Ulhaq top-scored with 52, against Glenelg ANA II.

09.01.2022 Tough day for the boys today after a poor batting performance saw them put up only 130 and lose the final to SBS Strikers. Overall, it's been a very good tournament with the team bouncing back from 2 wins in their first 7 games to win 4 games in a row and qualify for finals. Now we look forward to the summer season in which we'll have 3 teams playing in the Adelaide Suburban Cricket Association (Sections 5, 6, and 10).... 02.01.2022 A Player of the Match performance from our star batsman, Russell King, helped Kenilworth CC win their @saca_cricket Winter T20 semi final against Superstars. Batting first, Superstars made 177 in their 20 overs, with good all round bowling and fielding performances from our boys to restrict them to a gettable score on a small ground. Kenilworth CC chased down 177 in 18.3 overs with the loss of 7 wickets.... Sadly, our other team, Kenilworth Phoenix, lost their game against Spartans after failing to chase 137. Good effort by them to make it to the semifinal and to restrict Spartans to 137. Kenilworth CC will play in the preliminary final next Sunday at 9am. @ Adelaide, South Australia
