24.01.2022 A little interview I did for Fairfax. Exhibition opens today!

23.01.2022 Daffodil Day is just around the corner. I was fortunate enough to photograph Australian Paralympian Sharon Jarvis for Cancer Council Australia just before she and her horse, Ceasy go for gold in Rio!

22.01.2022 I shot the opening night of the RBMA Weekender with the new Canon 5D Mark 4. It has improved auto focus and ISO range and definitely provides an edge in low light conditions than the 5D Mark 3. If you have any questions, feel free to drop a line in the comments section.

21.01.2022 RIP Zhou Youguang. The inventor of Pinyin. A system to convert Chinese characters into words with the Roman alphabet. Such nuanced study of the complexities of translating languages certainly wasn’t considered in the early 19th and 20th century when many Chinese immigrants, speaking only Cantonese or a local dialect, landed in Australia and met with Immigration Officials.

15.01.2022 Looking chuffed. Peggy just got her house repainted by Berger Paints.

10.01.2022 Red Bull Music Academy Weekender. What a massive 4 days.

10.01.2022 As part of the City of Sydney's Chinese New Year Festival 2017, my very first photo exhibition will be at Gallery KLEI from the 27th January to the 10th of February. "Early Chinese migrants often found themselves living in Australia with surnames that bear little relation to their Chinese name. Ken Leanfore's photographic portrait series explores the contemporary lives and identities of Chinese-Australian individuals who inherited these unusual or anglicised names." I hope you all can make it!

08.01.2022 Amazing news from Victoria. Many people who took part in my portrait series are direct descendants of Victorian Chinese gold rush miners. Most notably Russell Jack and Dennis O'Hoy. Greg Homeming and Margaret Chuck also have roots in Shepparton.

07.01.2022 Busy July! Holden commissioned me to photograph members of regional sporting clubs in South Australia and Queensland for their Home Ground Advantage Program.

05.01.2022 I made the Huffington Post today. What's in a Surname? will be on until the 10th of February at Gallery KLEI.

03.01.2022 My photo is making the rounds today.

02.01.2022 Harvey Young talks about some of his experiences living with a surname like Young. What's in a Surname? is at Gallery KLEI from 27th January to 10th February.
