25.01.2022 Head to Grill'd during September to support our Kindy in their Local Matters community programme. With every burger ordered, you'll receive a Local Matters token to drop into our Kindy's jar. At the end of September, $500 is split between the 3 charities/ groups ($300 for 1st, $100 for 2nd and 3rd). I'll be getting the Summer Sunset, what will you order?

24.01.2022 This week is NAIDOC Week. Celebrations are usually held in July but this year they were postponed due to Covid 19. The aim of NAIDOC Week is to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. https://www.naidoc.org.au/about/history

21.01.2022 "Small world-play is a way of creating (and recreating) scenes and settings, both real-life and imaginary, in child-size proportions. Small world play allows children to explore and consolidate things they experience and learn in real life, and to see the world from the perspective of others. Doll's houses, play farms and other settings inspired by the real world are classic examples of small world toys. But children can just as easily make their own small worlds in places of their own devising; a shoe box, on a Lego base, under a table or in a quiet corner of a room. There are no rules." https://www.onehundredtoys.com/blo/the-100/small-world-play

19.01.2022 Today is National R U OK?Day If you feel like somethings not quite the same with someone you know theres something going on in their life or you notice a change in what theyre saying or doing - trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them Are you OK? If someone says theyre not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. That conversation could change, or even save, their life." Source: https://www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask

16.01.2022 Do you know that about 370 million indigenous people are living in 90 countries across the globe? These people are only 5% of the global population, but they account for 15% of the world's poorest people. The indigenous people speak about 7000 languages and represent 5000 different cultures. The International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples seeks to protect these people's rights and prevent them from marginalization. That explains why the UN set aside August 9th every year as a day to honor these groups of people.
