20.01.2022 KMOW is in need of a new Secretary! Is that you? As an important voice within this charitable organisation, the Secretary's role, in part, is to act as a conduit between the service and the committee. Duties include management of incoming and outgoing correspondence, preparation of meeting agendas/minutes and looking after document storage. ... This voluntary role not only brings a sense of purpose and voice to KMOW but to the wider community we live in.

We drove on to Rockhampton for a drive by of Meals on Wheels Rockhamptons facilties and to collect another vehicle. Mark and Kath headed for home. Rachael headed home with a stop at Gin Gin to catch up with a few committee members and check out their entries in the local Show. 01.01.2022 As the manager of Meals on Wheels Fraser Community, Maria Daye says that while she is a strong and capable woman, she has certainly experienced gender inequalit...y within both her working and personal life. Recalling an incident as a younger woman where her gender came into question Maria recounted I applied for a job at a construction site and couldnt ever get an interview because I was a woman; I was laughed off the site. Therefore, in her role as Manager at Meals on Wheels Fraser Community, Maria says she strives to create a gender balanced work environment. Moving forward I would like to encourage and support younger women to use their skills and have self-confidence in all they do. I have been fortunate to have been guided by our Treasurer, Margaret Richters, both personally and professionally. She always lifts me up and reassures me and I wouldnt be in the position I am today without her; it would make me very happy if I could do the same for other women. #EachforEqual #MealsonWheels See more
