24.01.2022 I was a Supplementary Judge today, at the Finals of the Seniors’ Regional Finals of the Rostrum Australia Speeches, for Grades 11 & 12 ...at Rockhampton Grammar. Sithmy Canara far left, achieved 1st Place beside Natalia Disa who reached 2nd Place. All contestants were of extraordinary character and speaking talent. I felt so inspired by their quality of character and presentation. Adjudicator & Speeches Judge, Matthew Johnson on the right.
23.01.2022 Preferences I have never preferenced on my previous two forays as an Independent ...and not this 3rd time either. I leave it up to my intelligent voters to give me a 1 ...and then put their other 8 numbers as they see fit.
23.01.2022 Why don’t we look at the feasibility of a 200km tunnel from the Burdekin Dam, to say, three holding dams ...to feed three hydro power stations ...and then regulate the flow to feed western rivers that feed the Darling River, down to the Murray River ...to save our major river systems? What do you think?
23.01.2022 When a tree containing a huge beehive, has to be felled urgently, in the Clermont Hospital grounds ...there's very little time to try to save the bees. Normally, in such instances the tree remover poisons or carts the log sections of the tree hive away, to be burned. 21.01.2022 LIES told about me, about COAL, answered here... Eddie, I was the only Candidate to go into that No Adani gathering to calmly reason with Dr Bob Brown ...and the 800 or so ...about why we NEED coal. I explained to them how 80% of coal mines in Qld, are metallurgical coal/coking coal, which goes INTO the Bessemer with iron ore and other ingredients to make Pig Iron ...from which high strength steel is made to make Tesla cars. I also told them how the untold story about Clermont, is that we have a 2000 acre solar farm, only 15 minutes from where they’re standing ...plus ones at Moranbah and Collinsville ...with 7 more approved to go ...plus Wind Turbines. I was quite a revelation to them.
19.01.2022 To all of you in our Capricornia Family, my wife Ruthie & I want to thank you very much for giving me your precious votes. We are here for the long run, as we have already been for you these past years. If any of you are dealt injustices or have needs you want actioned, please let me know. We all need to unite in love and respect for being a more prosperous, healthy Capricornia, with a future and a hope. To Michelle Landry, I give you loving hugs and pats on the back for your... outstanding victory. You have done a stirling job these past 2 Terms ...and now you have a much larger lead, and have changed this Capricornia from being a marginal Seat of 0.6 percent. Full credit to you and I pray you will not now be ignored by Canberra, but will be able to serve and gain action for our important needs for all Capricornians. To Russell Robertson, I feel your pain and empathise with you. I now have even greater love, respect, and admiration for your great dedication and dogged determination. Thank you for voicing the needs of our community for fairness and decency to be restored for our workers. To Wade Rothery & Pauline Hanson, I compliment you for attaining such a high percentage of the vote and wish you well in using this mandate, to answer our needs and aspirations for Capricornia. To all the other Candidates for Capricornia, thank you for throwing your hat into the ring, and for bravely speaking up for the important issues that now need action by the Government.
19.01.2022 I see there's a move to provide $200 million for the Rockhampton By-Pass Road ...that most business people in Rockhampton do not want. Wowee! ...$200 million would bitumen seal the remaining dirt tracks of: 1. Clermont-Alpha 5 highways LINK Road 2. May Downs Road from Middlemount to Marlborough and the Coast 3. Stanage Bay Road... 4. Mt Coolon Road to Collinsville ...which would bring much wealth and numerous jobs to Capricornia in food, livestock transport, farm produce, tourism, accommodation, and other commercial traffic from NT, WA, SA, NSW, VIC and even Tassie ...and all points in Qld. Ohhh what we could achieve together ...if only there was some businesslike vision with roads infrastructure, to make our Capricornia economy hum. Currently, there are only 2 bitumen sealed side perimeter roads into Capricornia ...the rest are worse than goat tracks.
