24.01.2022 Sorry for all the leafy/autumn photos! You see, for many years, I’d always be like, I’ll get those photos before it’s too late and well that never happened. To be honest, I nearly missed them again and then a friend asked me if I was going to take any of Autumn around Armidale/New England! 21.01.2022 So yesterday morning, I got up super early to go out and take photos of the strawberry moon. Well turns out she didn’t really change colour anywhere between Armidale and Uralla I was a sight for sore eyes I can tell you, dressing gown and grandpa slippers and Tooheys knee high socks But here’s a pretty photo anyway!! 20.01.2022 I’ve been pretty quiet on the frontline. For many reasons, but mainly because I am unsure what to say in a time like this! Like everyone, I’ve sat and watched the world pass by as we are told to stay home and only go out for the essentials (I am fortunately lucky, to still be working at the moment), but every day the rules are modified. People are confused, as to what is right and wrong. Some people simply don’t pay attention to the rules, that have been put in place for our... safety. I can’t wait to be there for my lovely couples who have made the difficult decision to postpone their big day, so they can spend it with the ones they truly care about. I still don’t have any comforting words, but I do know that, when this ends and it will end! We’re all going to hug the ones we love a little tighter (anyone who knows me knows that I am a HUGGER, and I’m not sorry). Spend time, quality time with our loved ones. Go on little getaways, big holidays, adventures, anything to go out and see the family and friends you’re always just too busy with life to see. For some, quarantining at home is a dream come true, for others like myself we crave the time spent with people and the social aspect of life. Don’t get me wrong I am appreciative of the fact that I can still talk to people at work. But it pains me to see people hurting because they can’t see their families, some are even in town because they can’t go back to their home town because it’s too risky incase they have come in contact with someone who is infected. Thankfully with the advancement in technology over the years, you can have a video conversation with someone on the other side of the world, but sometimes you just need that social interaction. I for one, absolutely understand that. I just want you to know that, even if we don’t know each other personally, even if we do. If you need someone to have a chat with or just a familiar face than don’t hesitate to send me a message. I’m absolutely more than happy to be an ear to listen, because we all know how challenging life can be at the best of times. I’m sending all the love and peacefulnesss to you all on this beautiful rainy morning

16.01.2022 I was asked to do a 4th generation and family shoot for these absolutely beautiful people a little while ago. I really wanted to do something special for them, after many hours staring at my computer and countless phone calls to a fellow photographer friend who knows photoshop (unlike me) I had finally finished my first composite image. 14.01.2022 A single leaf working alone, provides no shade Chuck Page I’m not even going to lie, I was googling some kind of leafy/autumn quote and this one just resonated with me in so many different ways! This being, that I like to think of myself, not as the competition to other creatives around me, but as a friend or colleague you can ask for advice or opinions or just chat about anything and everything with. ... I have some wonderful friends around me, who I constantly annoy to share ideas, photos, concerns or asking simple questions because I need a simple answer. That it takes a village. Not just to raise a child as the saying goes. To reach your dreams. To be given that opportunity. To have people in your corner. I’m so lucky that I have so many wonderful and supportive people in my village! You don’t have to stand alone in this big, wide world. If you need a chat, some advice (take at your own risk ), an ear to listen, someone backing you or even just a hot cuppa, you know where to find me! It was a beautiful but nippy autumn afternoon on the outskirts of Armidale, in one of my favourite little hidey holes for photoshoots.
