24.01.2022 We are proud to announce the winner of our Kenny Blake road riding scholarship for 2020-2022 is Dallas Skeer from Millicent . The photographer of the evening was Sue ( team KBF) and we have posted some of the photos for you to enjoy. From all accounts the night was a success. Once again,I will like to extend a huge thank you to our sponsors Alexandrina Council, SA Plaster Board , Motorcycling South Australia , California Superbike School and Bleasdale wines for our signed souvenir bottle that we will all "crack open" , in celebration for when our KB ambassador wins his Australian title. Thank you to everyone that helped in making this evening a success.

24.01.2022 Go figure and all that on a hot track .

21.01.2022 in light of current circumstances a bit of humour in keeping with KB's era :)

18.01.2022 Isn't it amazing that if you really have the drive ,desire skills and tools nothing can stop you . Most of us would say he's crazy or stupid Sandor even reckless but heck he doing it and having fun.

18.01.2022 Huge "Congratulations" to Damian Cudlin, Benalla Auto Club ,Winton Raceway , Motorcycling Australia, Yamaha and all the other partners, to provide junior riders a clear and structured program into road racing. This concept is something I have been banging on about out for over two decades .

18.01.2022 Got given this article from a good friend and I thought I would like to share it with all of our KBF friends and families . Yes not an article on Ken Blake but in essence it's about what we share : the love of riding whether it be a dirt road, a bitumen or a track. Enjoy.

18.01.2022 Drumroll please... We're thrilled to present the official Australian Women in Motorcycling logo! From now on, this logo will be used to signify Motorcycling Au...stralia's commitment to improving the sport for women, everywhere #WomenWhoRide #WomenInMotorcycling

17.01.2022 I know that most of the KBF Face book friends and readers will have heard about Murray's Walkers passing over the weekend. I got this article this morning and I thought it was worth sharing with all of you . He was a great man and I am sure will be sadly missed by all.

17.01.2022 Today was our inaugural KBF AGM much discussion and excitement on draft program for the Festival was done, together with some fretting on the number of applications for the Ken Blake Scholarship for up and coming road racers . see previous FB bulletins for detail. More on this topic, in the next FB bulletin. Meanwhile, we have a request for all - Please could you assist us with names of people in this beautiful photo given to us to use for publication ( name supplied upon request)

16.01.2022 "They don't pay me enough for this " Roberts reflecting upon both risk and outcome of his win. Our KBF scholarship winner, I am sure has already experienced this question in his junior racing career. We are hopeful that with scholarship win under his belt , it will give him more "tools and strategies" to deal with this question. Come and celebrate with us on the 24th October 2020 6:30pm on Kenny Blake home turf - Strathalbyn . Booking is essential. Thanks Marylou

16.01.2022 The legend KB dethroned :)

16.01.2022 Whilst we wait for outcomes I found this video and thought most of you would appreciate that unmistakable sound :) enjoy

11.01.2022 Wouldn't this activity be a great attraction for the KBF

11.01.2022 Sad news for all

10.01.2022 2 Stroke racing in the sub-continent . When I was a kid living in Madras , my father loved racing and naturally Sholavaram was track he would take us too dry dusty and thick with the smell of castrol. Similar to Mallala both being originally airfields . Listening to this racer recant his story , I thought in reality nothing really has changed except for duration of time : The desire to be a racer stamped and etched from an early age, the sponsor and or benefactor who notices and assists in achieving his/her dream . Our Kenny Blake Sponsorship is all about assisting the dream of young racer . Come and celebrate with us on October the 24th the winner of KB scholarship .Be a part of South Australian history in the making . We still have a few more places for the dinner . Contact Jo Scheiffers 0429676433 or Marylou 0403035266

10.01.2022 Good news for those who are still pondering on whether they should apply or not for our two year scholarship ( Road racing). Yesterday our lovely small team of KBF volunteers met, as we do on a regularly basis . It was decided that we are extending the closing date for our inaugural Kenny Blake motorcycle scholarship to 30th June 2020. For details see previous post . We would like to thank very much those that have already sent in their applications . Please keep your applications coming in and if there someone you think should apply please encourage them to do so - nothing to loose much to gain. Ml

09.01.2022 News update : The small but dedicated volunteer team who are organising the 2020 Kenny Blake Festival of Motorcycling is still working towards our original intent: to acknowledge and celebrate the contribution that Strathalbyn hometown hero, Ken Blake, made nationally and internationally to the sport of motorcycle road racing until his untimely death at the Isle of Man in June 1981 We recently met and made the difficult decision in these trying times that the 2020 Festival... will be reconfigured. The Festival, scheduled to be held in Strathalbyn on October 24, will still proceed but with an amended program. The amended programs focus will be entirely on the announcement of the KB scholarship winner . Our plan is to continue to work towards granting the scholarship to an up and coming local road racer , as we have noted that even within the social distancing guidelines we can still organise the presentation and announcement of the 2020 KB scholarship . Thus, we are keeping the cut-off date for applications for the Scholarship open until the end of June and look forward to receiving more applications. We would like you to encourage a friend, family member , acquaintance to apply. Nothing to loose but a loads to gain. However, if the current rules around the Corvid 19 situation change by October, then the full activities programmed for the KB Festival will proceed. As we will not finally cancel the currently booked activities of the Festival ( until closer to the date 24th October 2020) . We hope by then we will have clear guidance from the government around the type of activities which can still go and not . We will keep you posted to the changes of our event ML See more

06.01.2022 MC news on Winton and there naturally there's a positive comment in the report for Dallas on his improvement from practise to race . :)

04.01.2022 This is how I remember Ken Blake ( albeit not wheel standing but I am sure many folk out there would be able to share a story or two on KB's wheel standing prowess ) on a BMW which was truly inspirational for me. If you have a tale or two to tell about our hero you are truly welcome to share .

04.01.2022 Good morning Folk . If you could assist with your feedback ,your effort would be very much appreciated by all of us who would love to see more motorcycling activities for us in South Australia .
