24.01.2022 El Capitano Darce is making audiences sit in the edge of their seats in the year 12 drama production and we wish him and the year 12's goodluck...However never is Darce in his element as much as when he is hammering keystone for promotions and in the midst of history society......make sure you bring your camera's for the presentation this friday, because it will be one to remember.. stay classy St Peter's;)

24.01.2022 Great showing of Blood Diamond! thanx to all those that packed out the Angas Parsons!!

23.01.2022 For some Christmas history, here's a fact. Despite many rumours, Coca Cola did not invent Santa Claus as some people think, however it is possible that Coke did influence the commercialisation of Santa Claus. And if your 8 or younger, or a bit slow, Santa is a real person who goes around each Christmas with a sack full of goodies to deliver to every house hold. Anyways, merry Christmas from the History team, have a sweet day and keep winning at life

13.01.2022 Something quite interesting I found if you've got a free 15 mins, title basically explains it all. First few mins are slow, picks up rapidly after that -Ryan

12.01.2022 Historical Society is not one to advertise, but Mr Pitt has launched his own website, which includes movie reviews, game reviews, sports reviews and a 1 hour weekly podcast run by him and Mr Threadgold bantering on about soccer, and is looking like it's going to be a winner. Check it out if interested

10.01.2022 Great news guys, we got a mention in the latest Saints magazine on page 23. Not only does it talk about our general brilliance and the chapel tours and presentations we did but it also says something which I would like to quote: ".....and the Society has even set up its own Facebook page also, currently managed by Ryan Colsey and Isaac Aitken, which presently boasts an active membership of 49 'friends'" (written by Mrs Sally Bartz)... This means that this Facebook page is now officially acknowledged by the school. In the words of Borat: 'very nice!'

09.01.2022 We have just put together a mind-blowing-explosive-and informative presentation on great speeches that will definitely be better than standing outside in the soggy rain and will most likely be better than anything you can read in the Advetiser or on Wikipedia.... For a great presentation on some great speeches that have flown under the radar, watch this space;)

07.01.2022 In 1626 the Dutch bought Manhatten Island (New York) off the native Indians for a mere $24. Up until the global financial crisis in 2008, Manhatten had the world's most expensive real estate market, and had an income per capita of over $100,000; also the most in the world. Moral of the story: never trade with the Dutch

In the only way Historical Society knows how to pay tribute, we leave you with this clip from Team America, showing that just coz u r boss of a nation, doesn't mean you have some hidden feelings too :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdug6yHJB40&feature=related

03.01.2022 The April Fool's presentation coming up looks like it will be a ripper, order pizza from Mrs Cocca and check it out, cheers guys

02.01.2022 Interesting news. The country's oldest (and best) football club in history, the Melbourne Demons, have appointed Jack Trengove as one of their 2 captains (the other being Jack Grimes). This will make Trengove the youngest AFL captain ever. ...go the Dees!

02.01.2022 What do we reckon? Fact or fiction?

01.01.2022 Since it's Aussie Open, who do you think is the greatest female tennis player in history? Best answer gets a hug from Isaac Aitken

01.01.2022 The Sui Dynasty of China were the first group of people to set standardized tests (exams) for students, way back in 605 AD. Good luck for examinations all, especially those sitting history exams :)
