17.01.2022 Recent limestone driveway supply laid the rd base limestone spread and compacted

14.01.2022 I have seen this post shared on a number of pages as of late, and thought its 100% true for all tradies, contractors and people who run their own business. Th...ere are always posts looking for 'cheap' work or people asking Why do tradies charge an arm and a leg? This is why. They don't get paid sick leave, annual leave, carers leave, paternity or maternity leave, no pay on rainy days, no overtime or bonuses at the end of the year. The skills they have are expensive to attain along with the tools/vehicles. The FREE quotes, the ordering, picking up materials, time spent at each job including traveling either way. It all adds up. That's not even looking at business finances like public liability, insurances, regos etc. So don't ask for cash discounts! Or cheap work. GST is paid on everything they buy. The only discount that can be given is on labour and who would want to be doing that?! Now they all get to enjoy two weeks of unpaid holidays while everything is shut down over the Christmas break! So with that being said thank a tradie this Christmas. If they run their own show, thank them twice!
