21.01.2022 Hi all. Just came across this post and thought Id share. So true, small acts of kindness can make a huge impact on small business. Sharing posts on behalf of your local businesses certainly pays off. We have customers who travel from Canberra, Bathurst, Cowra, Parkes, Orange, Woodstock, Eugowa, Goolongong, Cargo, Cudal just to mention a few locations where our customers travel from so sharing posts and talking about your mechanical experiences is certainly paying off for us.

21.01.2022 How Should I Prepare My Car for Winter? Its hard to believe but winter has once again arrived. It doesnt seem that long ago and we were preparing our vehicles for summer. How should I prepare my car for winter? you ask? Scroll down to find out.... How Should I Prepare My Car for Winter? Check your antifreeze. Your engines coolant must be kept at the proper level to prevent freezing and corrosion. Flush and change your coolant if necessary, following the manufacturers guidelines provided in your owners manual. Test your battery. Although its never fun to be stuck somewhere with a dead battery, it is especially inconvenient (and potentially unsafe) in the winter. Plus, cold weather is hard on batteries. Be sure that your battery is in good working condition before winter weather takes hold. Check your brakes. When youre driving in bad weather, your brakes are your lifelines. Ken and Nick can check your brakes for winter and also ask them to check for any needed repairs. If youve been planning to replace your brakes or pads, now is the time to do so. Be sure your exhaust system is leak free. A carbon monoxide leak is especially dangerous during the winter, when windows are always closed while driving. Have your exhaust system inspected to be sure it is leak free. Inspect your heater and defroster. Be sure that your heaters and defrosters are working properly. Without them, your ride will be uncomfortable or downright impossible. Check (and perhaps replace) your tyres. Check the air pressure in your tyres from time to time and add more when necessary. If your tyres have lost their grip, replace them to ensure that they can grasp the road. Give your windshield wipers a once-over. When it rains, hails or snows, your windshield wipers must thoroughly clean off your windows to provide visibility. If your wipers have become worn, replace them right away. _____ Winter weather can magnify existing problems in your vehicle, which is why its so important that you give your car a check-up before each season begins. Would you like some help preparing your car for winter? Give Ken or Nick a call. They perform a variety of auto repairs and maintenance, including oil changes, alignments, and brake repairs. To get started, please contact us on 02 6344 1472. We look forward to hearing from you!

06.01.2022 Is Your Car Road Ready For Summer? During this summer vacation, a long road trip is sure to cheer anybody up. However, no matter what you drive, you should always put your car through a pre-trip check-up before hitting the roads if you dont want to be stranded in the middle of a highway. To make sure this doesnt happen to you or anyone, here are some of the tips.... Check the brake system and make sure the battery connection is clean, tight, and corrosion-free. Make sure ll your fluid levels are correct: engine oil, power steering, brake and transmission, coolant, hoses and belts are important for the proper functioning of a vehicles electrical system, air conditioning, power steering, and cooling system. Make sure they are in good condition before you go. Take a closer look at your cars tyres for tread depth and bulges. Driving a vehicle with underinflated tyres reduces its fuel efficiency and if you notice uneven wear get your wheel alignment checked. Caps covering fuel lubricants, gas need to be checked for irregularities. Caps in poor condition may cause oil and fuel to spill or evaporate. These steps will not only give you the confidence of driving long distances, but also save you from any potential risk, far away from home. In addition, a timely check-up also increases the life of your vehicle by giving you an indication of any potential problems, saving otherwise hefty repair charges. At Kens Service Centre, Ken and Nick are well versed with every aspect of vehicle maintenance. During either routine or seasonal vehicular checks, they will discuss with you the condition of your vehicle and the parts that require replacement or repair. They are committed at providing you with a smooth driving experience and want to see you leave happy. With a goal to achieve 100% customer satisfaction, Kens Service Centre are capable of completing all servicing and repairs in a timely fashion without compromising on quality. For summer motoring Ken and Nick will assure you have a safe and hassle free ride.
