21.01.2022 Who is this man? I last raced against him in my old Group C A9X at Winton late 1980's. He was in his Dad's RX7. Bumped into him at The Bend on the weekend, coaching his son Ben in his Formula Ford.

20.01.2022 Nothing says 1972 quite like grandpa's ZF 302, of course with vinyl roof, column change auto, lambswool seat covers and sunshade. Now actually sounds like a V8.

19.01.2022 This is the first of the latest Tritons that I've had in for an exhaust upgrade. It's brand new and only part way through being kitted out, but already I reckon it's a big improvement over previous Tritons.

18.01.2022 King Brown sports system off the turbo onto this RG Colorado today. The young driver loves his 4WD and rang me a couple of hours later to say how happy he is with how it goes now. If you'd like to give someone a King Brown exhaust system for Christmas, ring me tomorrow , as I'm almost booked out until the new year.

16.01.2022 Couple of interesting '70's classics in this week for sports exhausts. A lot to do yet on this HZ, but it will be worth the effort.

12.01.2022 I know that '60's cars are are popping up all over the place, but I never expected to see an HR Special at The Bend. Fortunately the owner didn't embarrass himself by putting it on the track

11.01.2022 Had a bit of a run on HG's in December. This one is immaculate, very '70's with the 6 cyl. 3 on the tree and bench seat, but now sounding nice with tuned length dual outlet extractors and a custom made 2" stainless steel twin system. Now that I have your attention, I'd like to wish a happy new year to all my friends and customers of Ken's Exhaust. Thankyou to all those who have wished me encouragement and a speedy recovery over the past few months whilst I have struggled with... some serious neck issues. As many of you would be aware, these neck problems have resulted in the workshop being closed quite a bit. It has become "painfully" obvious that long term changes have to be made. Fortunately for me, a well respected local business man, Michael Hansen, the owner of Mitech Automotive, has agreed to leasing my workshop and continuing as an exhaust specialist, as well as providing some additional services that his technicians already provide at his existing service centre at the bottom of Vaughan tce. Berri. Dave will be answering the phone and taking care of admin, whilst Tony will be fitting tyres, performing wheel alignments, air cond. re-gas etc. Exhaust wise it is pretty much business as usual, with standard, custom and of course King Brown products, except that I will be sharing the work load with Terry, who is a competent, qualified mechanic, well known in the motor trade. The phone number remains the same; your calls should be answered quicker, and you won't have to talk to an old bloke in overalls, unless you want to. I will be available part time, passing on 40 years of knowledge to Terry, and hopefully still turning out the occasional quality job. All this kicks off as of Monday 6th. I'm looking forward to working with Michael and his team. I'll continue to share on Facebook the interesting vehicles that we work on as well as promote the other services that the Mitech team offer. 07.01.2022 Happiness is a track day at The Bend with power steering issues fixed and a fresh set of semi slicks bolted on.

04.01.2022 Very sad to read of the passing of Don Wilkey. Don was a quiet, unassuming man who was very generous with his time and always happy to pass on his vast knowledge regarding anything mechanical. Along with the great Len Bowes, Don was instrumental in the successes that Rod Lang and I enjoyed in the brief time that we rode together. Sincere condolences to Don's family. I am sure he will be missed very much. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of Don, but I do have this one which is very much speedway riders in the '70's in the year that Don was my mechanic at Rowley Park.

04.01.2022 Dynamic duo. Riverlanders will remember Charlie and Charlie junior Kovacs. Ran into them (not literally ) at the track day at Tailem Bend today. Still enjoying sliding the big VE ute around the track.

03.01.2022 Time for another brain teaser. Whilst cleaning up the workshop this weekend, I stumbled upon a pair of these. It is a genuine factory fitted part to an Australian car. Anyone know exactly what it is?

02.01.2022 Four of the interesting cars at the track day at The Bend today. The Nascar was a bit of a surprise, certainly had some speed in a straight line, but struggled everywhere else.

01.01.2022 Can't let new year's day go by without a brain teaser. I'm determined to put one up that no-one can get. As you can see, I had a big clean out at the workshop during the past week, and one long forgotten tail pipe is in the photo. It is a genuine manufacturer made pipe. The over axle design will be a strong clue for most mechanics, but what EXACT model and with which engine did they fit this tail pipe to and why?
