07.01.2022 Getting a few things ready for the Art Market December 7th

06.01.2022 I have been working on a lot of Public Art submissions lately.I enjoy it but sometimes it is very hard to check all the boxes. Check out what the expectations for this project are. Deliver enduring economic, social and cultural benefits to the CBD and to the wider community. Reflect the communitys aspirations and distinctive character. Respond to the region. Be sensitive to the built environment surrounding the site.... Take into consideration an existing iconic artwork. Consist of three to five striking contemporary artworks . Enhancing the outdoor dining and boutique shopping experience. Reflect the confidence and prosperity of the region. Reflect the natural and built environments, its history and culture, in an inspiring and exciting way. Assist in creating a unique public spaces that reflects and creates a distinctive and memorable sense of place. Assist with way finding and encourage recreation, physical as well as social and economic activity and enhance relaxation. At least one of the public artworks that form this commission will engage children in a creative and inspiring, and at the same time, safe way. Need to be able to be viewed as part of a larger Public Art Trail. The works must meet the strictest safety requirements, especially any artwork that is designed to engage children and families. Withstand the weather conditions of the region which include cyclonic winds and a highly corrosive environment. Have a strong artistic vision. See more
