18.01.2022 Congratulations to these amazing kids in the front for achieving their rokyu! (level 6) It was our very first shiken (exam) at Nishi-Sydney and they did us proud

18.01.2022 From our zoom sessions when we were locked down to our first sessions opening back up this week. A great Japanese saying that fits our Kenseido mantra: (Nana korobi ya oki) fall down seven times, get up 8. We will not let these last couple of months define us. Thank you to our Japanese sensei’s that helped me teach the zoom class online. We now have a new platform to do renshu (train) together.

18.01.2022 Great renshu with new friends and bogu randori as the finisher, really proud of Liana who is one of the first females to ever spar in full contact! Levelling up our weapons

17.01.2022 Welcome back Canaan! Great shodan shiken renshu and hard randori afterwards

17.01.2022 Great rainy Thursday night renshu with the boys, followed by our regular post training ramen!

16.01.2022 Ready to fight in the next tournament!

16.01.2022 Just because we are in isolation doesn’t mean we can’t train together. Great discipline with our Kenseioka at our jugy.

15.01.2022 As the world experiences this pandemic, one positive outcome is that we are now more connected than ever. Our senseis from Japan and my master, Kuramochi sensei gets to experience our Sydney Kenseido Jugyo (lesson) from half way around the world!

04.01.2022 After getting the baton from (Shimane Sensei) I had to pass on the tradition that the (Kenseido) Sensei’s have done before me. I now pass this on to Reiko for Katsuhiko Masui style famous push-up challenge!
