25.01.2022 Tonight's teens and adults class will be online at 6.30pm. The link has been posted in our online group. In case you are not in that group, here are the details. https://www.facebook.com/groups/510851019860265/

24.01.2022 Saturday night’s event, RONIN, was an amazing experience. Thank you to Shihan Judd Reid for organising these exciting events, we thoroughly enjoy being a part of it. Congratulations to Sempai Holly for her exceptional efforts fighting on the night. This was her first time up on the big stage in front of a large crowd. Her fight was a draw after two rounds, which meant they had to go a third round. Her opponent just came away with the win but boy was it close. Sempai Hol...ly’s fighting spirit didn’t go unnoticed; she won the most spirited fighter award for the whole night. So proud of you Holly. We were also very surprised and honoured to receive an appreciation plaque from Shihan Judd. It’s not often you meet people as passionate about karate as you are so we are more than happy to show our support. We are very appreciative of your acknowledgment Shihan, OSU. See more

22.01.2022 Wow. What an epic day for Kenshin at the Victorian Kyokushin Championships. We came away with three Champions. Congratulations to Sempai Holly, Sempai Dylan and Sensei Leanne for winning their divisions amongst some tough competition. Well done also to Luke Taylor for his impressive performance. Many people arrived at the tournament with no knowledge of Kenshin Karate but left not only knowing our name, but recognising us as an impressive force to be reckoned with. Support is an important fuel for every fighter and Kenshin was fully fueled up with a great support crew cheering all our competitors on. A huge thank you to all who came on the day and for the many more who followed the live stream at home.

20.01.2022 Who is excited to be back inside the dojo tomorrow?!! We certainly are. I have attached some information regarding our return to indoor training. Our current class sizes are fine with the recent announcements so we are set to go ahead. We will be running off the same timetable that we were using for outdoor training (see attached information). If you have any trouble reading the information, please let us know so that we can forward it to you. We are looking forward to se...eing you all back inside where you belong. I will re-post this to both of our online groups. See more

19.01.2022 We will be putting in a tshirt and hoodie order at the end of this week for anyone interested in purchasing anything. Also having your own sparring equipment at this time is going to be best for everyone. These make great Christmas presents. Order at dojo reception or message us.

19.01.2022 Great News! Classes will be back to normal from tomorrow (18/02/2021). However we will need to comply with density limits. Our training space is big enough to accommodate all of our class sizes. Hooray, no changes here. Our viewing area will have restrictions. We will need to adopt the drop and go or wait in your car policy again. There will be limited space in our viewing room for those that need to stay (special needs children or very young children). Masks will ...need to be worn by those not training. Thank you for your understanding See more

07.01.2022 How could you call 2020 a bad year with an ending like that!! Grading weekend was amazing as always; blood, plenty of sweat and many tears. We would not have it any other way. Top effort to all of the teens and adults who graded yesterday. It has been such a tough year but watching you all slog it out, you would not have known it; you were pushed to your limits and the grading was a strong as it always is. We are so proud of each and every one of you and you should be p...roud too. Congratulations to our two newest Sempai’s who graded to their brown belts - Sempai Dylan and Sempai Jasmin (Jazzi). Both of you stayed strong to the very end, especially through those gruelling 10 rounds of kumite, true warriors. I do not think there was a dry eye in the room, we were all so very proud. Be sure to address Dylan and Jazzi and Sempai from now on. Thank you to all of our assessors who gave up their weekend to assist with the gradings. Gradings would never run as smoothly without you. Wear your new belts with pride, set some new goals, and keep moving forward. OSU. See more

15.12.2021 Hello lovely Kenshin Community! I am sure many of you have seen that every year there is a gift wrapping station at Karingal Hub run by parents in our community where presents are wrapped for a donation to support MUMS SUPPORTING FAMILIES IN NEED (MSFIN) This charity is one that has been in our community for almost ten years with the Hub allowing them to wrap gifts and raise funds for 6 years.... This year they are in desperate need for some more volunteers to come and help wrap presents. All that is required is a few hours out of your day from this Saturday (11th December) up to Christmas Eve. You don’t have to be a beautiful wrapper, all you need is a smile and a happy Christmas spirit. All the money raised goes straight to supporting families in our community who are doing it tough. They are hoping to get all shifts filled with Christmas wrapping legends by next weekend so they don’t have to cancel, it would be such a shame to give up such a brilliant ongoing opportunity that has seen them raise so much over the years and has helped so many. I hope I will see some of your beautiful faces this year wrapping gifts and spreading the love or popping by to get your gifts wrapped for a donation so you can go relax :) I have attached the link to the group below if you would like to join in (even just to have a look) https://www.facebook.com/groups/214889669145002/?ref=share Thank you all and Merry Christmas, Ed and Liza
