25.01.2022 One of our student is working on combination of the Pink Tower and the Brown stairs. What a beautiful extension!

12.01.2022 The theme for Harmony Day is "Everyone Belongs", which is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. Many members of our Kensington Montessori community have different cultural backgrounds. It was exciting to recognise and learn about them. Our children at Kensington Montessori participated in Harmony Day activities and dressed in orange or cultural dresses. There were so many vibrant colours and cultures represented. We explored books about divers...ity and built our own city using cardboards and displaying homecountry flags of our students. The children were offered the opportunity to listen to music from a variety of cultures and the chance to learn basic greetings from different cultures. We made our own greetings tree. Thanks to to our lovely parents who participated in Harmony day celebrations through their cultural food, books, festivals and dresses. Through these activities we have learnt and are understanding how all Australians from diverse backgrounds equally belong to this nation and enrich it. See more

12.01.2022 Dear Families, As Perth metropolitan and South West regions prepare for a 5-day lockdown, we wanted to share our preparations and processes with all our families. https://www.wa.gov.au//perth-metro-peel-and-south-west-ent... 10.01.2022 For our Families who would like to explore some healthy lunch options

05.01.2022 Language lesson- Moveable alphabets In a Montessori 3-6 classroom children learn to write first before they learn to read. Once the child has mastered the sounds associated with each letter , he is given a lesson on moveable alphabets to help develop a concrete understanding of letters and their sounds. They then begin to create words themselves.

04.01.2022 Australia Day celebrations at Kensington Montessori . A great start to our week as our children created wonderful flags and lamington cup cakes. The children have been learning about our First Nations People through dream time stories ,artwork and songs. Our Kangaroo sack race was heaps of fun as the children enjoyed being silly and testing out their balance and coordination. We hope through these hands on learning experiences ,our Montessori students will establish deeper cultural understanding and informed perspective about celebrating our National Day.
