21.01.2022 Look at what I was given today, four very very large zucchin. So it’s preserving time. What else does one do on a hot day. Two of these will be actioned to raise money for the garden. I will let you know when this will happen. I can tell you that you will not find these preserves on any supermarket or shop shelf. I have included photoes of the step by step to end result. It took me four hour to get eight small jars but boy are they worth the work. So, who will be the lucky two that will get the chance to try them if they are the lucky bidders.

20.01.2022 The Stockyard Food Garden is looking for some free galvanised reo. If you have some lining around and no longer need it we can take it to use at the garden.

04.01.2022 A few of our members will be growing their own vegetables/plants as part of KSFG garden training program for the next two years in their allocated beds. They will receive as much advice and assistance as they require to achieve their gardening goals. These wicking beds have great quality soil and are in full sun. I wonder what they will grow. Also, check out our potato harvest this morning .

03.01.2022 Kensington Stockyard community garden have harvested over 300kg of fresh produce since July 2020 from only 28 Foodcubes. That's 10kg from each Foodcube in 4 mon...ths. Per annum, Kensington are on track to harvest 30kg per m2 which is higher than our recommended average of 25kg per Foodcube. Great going Kensington Stockyard!

02.01.2022 Are you interested in gardening? KSFGI has a webpage https://kensingtonstockyardfoodgarden.wordpress.com that many of you may find useful if you are new to food growing. It outlines what KSFGI is all about but more importantly provide a descriptive list of veggies with related information on each individual one and how to harvest and ways to cook. I am sure you all have your own wonderful ways of cooking some of the veggies/herbs. If you have time we would love to hear from you, where possible we will try and answer gardening related question and also you may wish to provide us with one of your favourite recipes using one of the veggies/herbs on our list. Be mindful that the recipes you provide will be placed on the webpage to be shared with other KSFGI followers.
