25.01.2022 8 April 2018 Preliminary 1.2. 3rd overall (even with an unscheduled stop to put my foot back in the stirrup!)
24.01.2022 Breed exam for Isabeau KP next week. Fingers crossed all is good so she can become a mum.
23.01.2022 The smoke is rolling up the valley but we are safe. I did try and have a serious discussion with the animals about the danger Smoke is rolling in Isabeau. Yep okay but is that a bucket in your hand?. A friesians take on life generally I would suggest and the 2 oldies ...well theyve seen it all before
23.01.2022 One of the magnificant sights I have ever seen.
21.01.2022 We will be participating in the Jenny Veenstra Dressage Clinic to be held at Evans Park at the end of this year. If you are interested in receiving further information please search Jenny Veenstra NSW Clinic and join the group.
20.01.2022 I looked up Isabeau KP on the KFPS website and it showed that she was free from dwarfism, hydrocephalus and chestnut factor. We will be breeding her for the first time this season. Just a reminder she is a 2 time NSW Keuring Champion, achieved a successful IBOP score, 2nd premie ster mare, multiple State and National champion and Supreme titles in hand and at her last official dressage competition scored 71% from one judge.... Would you like a foal from this beautiful mare?
19.01.2022 Omer R. S. fan Top en Twel Vb Ster Sport AA 16/3/2004 - 11/6/2020 It is with great sadness we report the loss of AFHS Breeding Permit Stallion Omer R S fan T...op en Twel owned and loved by Tashlin Jeffries of Kendall Park Friesians in WA. Omer was the only stallion approved for breeding in WA and the first to achieve the Sport Predicate there. He was a true modern Sports Friesian who has sired many successful offspring in Australia. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Tashlin and the team at Kendall Park Friesians. We know he will long live on in the many beautiful and successful offspring he produced. See more
19.01.2022 Look what we achieved today. So very proud of my girl and myself for having pulled it together after such a bad week. Overall we ended up 9th in our first novice and 3rd in AOR. In the preliminary we were 3rd overall and 1st in AOR
18.01.2022 Me and Isabeau Kp competing at Claredon dressage day
18.01.2022 For something different I would like to start riding Isabeau in breed classes. She doesnt need to be shown in hand anymore but I think a riding class would be great for her. So if anyone local hears of shows with friesian breed riding classes let me know. Apparently I missed Castle Hill on the weekend.
17.01.2022 We have some spots available at the upcoming Jenny Veenstra clinic at Evans Park on 2 November. Private 1 hour lesson. PM for more information.
17.01.2022 To say we are totally devastated this morning is an understatement. At 10.30pm last night we had to make the horrible, yet necessary, decision to lay the ever beautiful, sweet and kind Sjalle KP to rest. She had developed a neurological condition very quickly and by the time the vet arrived she had lost the use of both back and front legs and couldnt lift her gorgeous sweet head from the ground. We will miss her dearly. Her sweet cuddles and her tiny girly little neigh.
16.01.2022 In November Dutch Grand Prix rider and instructor Jenny Veenstra will be coming back to Australia for clinics at several places: WA, SA, NSW (2 November 2018 at Evans Park. Freemans Reach) and Victoria. She is a student of Olympic riders Tineke and Imke Bartels, and used to teach at their Academy Bartels, and is still training with them to this day. Other trainers are Arthur Kottas, Alex van Silfhout and Johan Rockx. Four years ago she already taught in Australia, some of the...Continue reading

14.01.2022 What does your horse say about you as an equestrian?
14.01.2022 The magnificant Tsjalle 454, sire our stunning, kind and gentle Sjalle KP (deceased). Considering a pairing with Isabeau KP however, next season. Let us know if you would be interested in any progeny from this pairing.
14.01.2022 I always make sure I remember to thank Isabeau for keeping me safe and trying her hardest after every ride. In reality shes more interested in the sugar cubes and the make scratch but gratitude is gratitude
13.01.2022 Isabeau KP and I are just loving being back together. Training, talking, sometimes just standing there next to each other and just being ...love her to death
13.01.2022 Improvement is the goal with each test. Not great marks but we did not get the same comments as the previous tests and she was an angel as always.
10.01.2022 It is highly probable that this is what my beautiful girls succumbed to although no diagnosed (not for want of trying by our fabulous vets mind you). We got between a diagnosis of botulism and something like this. We dont have possums but still believe it was in contained in the feed somehow. I will say however, that this whole experience has totally gutted me more than many people realise so I find it really hard to continue to investigate causes, come up with probables e...tc etc. My girls are gone, my Isabeau is recovering (still) but maybe never completely recover) and my oldies, well Mother protect them, they look shocking but are slowly getting their spring back in their step. First Hendra and now something like this. Not sure what our family did to deserve such bad karma. Anyways, hoping one day the tears will dry and we can positively look to a baby Isabeau. Perhaps ... next year ... maybe https://www.horsedeals.co.uk//what-is-epm-and-why-is-it-ri
10.01.2022 Call out if anyone has any Tsjalle frozen semen that is just hanging around their freezer looking for a nice home. We desperately want a Tsjalle baby with Isabeau for a couple of reasons. 1. Tsjalle is ... well, Tsjalle.... 2.. We believe he will be a beautiful match for Isabeau and create a truly exquisite foal. 3. It would be really nice to have a half sister to our beautiful Sjalle KP (RIP). We cant have her but this little one would be as close as we can get. 4. Its Tsjalle .... IHB are out of stock and Im waiting to hear if they will be getting in any more for this season but Isabeau is fit and well and terribly hormonal and needs a baby, a Tsjalle baby. If anyone has any they would like to sell please let me know. Thanks
10.01.2022 So today was the first time in about 6 months since Izzy has been ridden and the first time in 6 months that mum has got back in the saddle to say i am proud of how far she has come is a understatement she has pulled up good since everything happened we had been slowly lunging her and getting her used to work again and the other day we put the saddle on her back so she could get used to having a saddle back on her back. Today when mum jumped on her ears went forward and she looked so happy to finally be able to be ridden again and the smile on mum face i dont think could of got any bigger! I am so proud of both of them today onward and upwards from here i think
09.01.2022 Happy birthday my beautiful 4 legged partners. Brudell Beauman 23 years Catseye 22 years Isabeau KP 9 years old... And to all those that have been a part of my life and helped me be a proud equestrian happy birthday.
07.01.2022 Hi All I thought I would provide a quick update on our girls. We did not really receive a definite answer to the cause of our girls passing or Isabeaus sickness. Likely it was a mutated virus of some kind that causes spinal cord paralysis OR toxins from feed that causes the same thing. ... We ask if you or anyone you know has a horse that suffers from any of the symptoms we experienced (ataxia, raised temperature, rapid weight loss and muscle deterioration) we urge you to let us know so we can put our vets in contact with your vets so they can discuss what is happening. The vet may simply say your horse has wobblers but none of the horses I know who have suffered from this do indeed have wobblers (my Sjalles autopsy was clear for this). So dont just take their word for it. Question them. Ask for viral marker testing and heart enzyme and muscle enzyme testing. We also urge that if you or anyone you know has a horse that appears to be at the early stages of these symptoms get them to a vet clinic as soon as possible and into a stable that has a sling. Unfortunately, once they are down they deteriorate so rapidly that there is no help that can be given unless they have access to a sling. It is truly a horrible way to watch them pass. We spent 12 or more hours with Omaeije hoping against hope that she would find the strength to get up. BUT now for some good news. Isabeau KP is still keeping on keeping on. She is just starting to put on some overall body mass. She is her usual alpha mare beatch sassy self. The muscle weakness is still quite pronounced but Caitte Raymen is doing a wonderful job of free running her in the sand arena, albeit only for 5 minutes at a time, to try and build up some stamina and some muscle. She is still too weak to do much more. We see glimpses of her brilliance there still. It makes me cry terribly to see how far she has fallen but now there is that little glimmer of hope that one day she will be okay again and healthy. Ian Burns will start working with her tomorrow to try and relieve some of the tenderness over her back. Thank you for all your continued views and queries about Isabeau. We will keep you updated on her progress (perhaps an updated video of her in the arena soon). Carol and Dave

04.01.2022 Isabeau KP tries everyday and is trying everyday. Luv her dearly and her bitchy mare face
04.01.2022 We are a little bit excited as this week we are trialling a new saddle. Its been 15 years since I bought a new saddle
04.01.2022 RIP Omaeije Rixt KP You were the gentlest, prettiest, dainty most gorgeous little princess. We tried the very best we could and you fought such a great fight. Tucked in your rugs against the cold, watching the fire crackle in the dark and never giving up until the very, very last.... We wish we had the answers to all our questions before it was too late for you. We will miss you with every essence of our being. Give our love to Sjalle KP when you see her.
02.01.2022 Dear All I thought I would give a quick update about Sjalle KP. It appears there is no conclusive answer about her cause of death. We are all very devastated that we dont know what made her become so very ill and deteriorate so quickly that ultimately led to her being put to sleep.... We miss her each and every day.
02.01.2022 Oh yes, I get this look from Isabeau KP when Im working with Omaeije or Sjalle. Then I just get the friesian butt as scenery.
01.01.2022 The ever beautiful Isabeau KP
