25.01.2022 All Kentish Downs ewes and rams have been DNA sampled providing clients a guarantee that the pedigree and LAMBPLAN data is as accurate as possible. We have been quite aggressive in adding to and expanding the stud with the purchase of elite ewes from four of Australia’s leading providers of LAMBPLAN tested PD genetics. Genomic results have been analysed from the 2020 drop ram lambs. Currently, Kentish Downs has three of the top five rams ranked for Terminal Carcase Production... (TCP) in the LAMPBLAN database. 06.01.2022 A huge thank you to everyone who supported us and bought rams at our Sale yesterday. Thank you to to our very classy auctioneers Michael Glasser GTSM and James Brown of Ray White. Great results for both stud and clients, having 2020 drop rams out into flocks and earning their keep. Very pleased to have a 100% clearance and keep ram price to a manageable level. Value per index unit and maximum total lifetime weaned lambs per ram are our goals.

The new Studmaster - Craig Wilson is a Merino genetic consultant based in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales and services a client base across New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. Craig's focus has been on providing independent and ethical services to the Australian Merino Industry, both primary producers and service providers. Craig... has been involved in merino production and genetic evaluation for over 20 years. Craig started his own business formally known as Craig Wilson Livestock more than ten years ago. Craig has worked on several merino studs including ‘Boonoke’ Deniliquin and ‘Hazeldean’ Cooma in management and marketing roles. With all this knowledge of the sheep industry, we entrust Craig and his family with the Kentish Downs Stud and have no doubt that they will take it to the next level.
