20.01.2022 Rita is such a sweetie, I’ve forgiven her for not being in calf this year..we will have to wait till next year...her new husband looks dashing ! Fb wouldn’t let me include a photo of her beau this post

16.01.2022 Weeding , bird watching , picking flowers for the table , heavenly life..book club at a local cafe yesterday, garden club tomorrow , cfs meeting tonight..just taking it easy!

14.01.2022 What a rich lifestyle , I love my garden and animals. Rita the Jersey, Tom and his daughter Lilly , the alpacas, the two retired mares , Barley and Lottie, Big Boy one of several peacocks, Tiger the cat. The sheep , the ducks, the gorgeous chickens. The only picture missing is of the gold fish. They almost had a sticky end yesterday as a king fisher was sitting on the post looking at them. There’s lots of crates for them to hide in but we quickly covered the pond in black bird netting.

12.01.2022 Spring is trying to burst forth , let’s hope summer is kind to us all this year..we must keep up the fuel reduction out in the paddocks, and make sure we have a fire plan ready .

10.01.2022 Oh very nice , my new pair of young Silver Wyandotte’s have arrived. Thank you Joshua Roche . The old silver hen thinks all her Christmas’s have come at once. In a few weeks I’ll put them all together

08.01.2022 Where’s Little Red Riding Hood...anyway here’s the next project ...Clear a spot for a picnic deep in the forest..I might get Hans to put a tap in , seeing that he is putting mains water down the graded path

05.01.2022 First egg this morning , thank you . My three new gorgeous hens . The colours on their feathers in the sun include purple blue and green . Very gentle quiet girls..

04.01.2022 I went and had a cuddle with Rita , she didn’t bother to get up , great spot down there under the sprawling trees. She is moulting her winter coat , so my black jumper got covered in cream coloured hairs.

03.01.2022 We have about a two acre front paddock out front that has a lot of mostly Oak trees , periwinkle and several other rampant undergrowth plants. We are putting in a new blue line for emergency mains water. Hans has almost finished burying the pipes. Hans would like to make a picnic spot deep into the forest. I’ll post a movie clip of the spot, in next post!

01.01.2022 Wow autumn 2020 compared to 1910. I can’t tell which side of the house the picture from 1910 was taken there’s so much ivy growing on the house!
