25.01.2022 We are very excited to be opening tomorrow, but first we'd like to remind everyone of the ways that we will be managing COVID restrictions in the Kenton Valley Cherry Shed Cafe. Please follow all signage and instructions from our staff. We are required by law to limit the number of people allowed inside the cafe; if the cafe is full, please wait outside until it is safe to enter. Our staff will be wearing masks, for their own protection, and yours.... Masks are not currently mandatory in SA, but they are recommended wherever social distancing is difficult to maintain we encourage you to wear a mask while you are visiting us. Please remember to be kind and patient with our staff and with each other. We are all in this together. And if you are unwell, please stay home! See you tomorrow Adelaide!! We can't wait to see you

24.01.2022 Please note, we will be closed on Saturday the 21st of December. We apologise for the inconvenience, but due to the severe fires which have swept through our area we have made the decision to remain closed on Saturday. We will update you further as soon as we can. Thank you.

23.01.2022 From everyone at Kenton Valley Cherries, we'd like to wish you a very happy new year, and a safe and wonderful start to 2020! We are open today and every day until the end of January (weather permitting!) from 9am-5pm each day. The roads to our cafe are currently clear from both directions, but please keep an eye on the CFS website or listen to ABC radio to keep up to date with the latest information.

23.01.2022 Hi all, we've just found out that the Cherries SA app says we're closed but we're definitely OPEN!! We've asked them to update this asap We are open from 9am-5pm EVERY DAY, 7 days a week, except for Christmas Day (or if the fire danger rating is set to catastrophic, whereby we will close for safety reasons). So come and say hello!

22.01.2022 We've reduced the prices on our remaining first grade cherries!!! First grade 26mm now $12 per kg First grade 28mm 2kg boxes now $30 ($15 per kg)... AND right now of you buy 4 cherry crumbles the fifth one is free! Yummo!

22.01.2022 This is it folks, there is only one day left to come and visit us before we close for the season. The cafe is open today until 5pm, and then we'll be shut until November. So come and say hello, and goodbye (but only for a little while!) and grab yourself one last tasty treat

20.01.2022 We're open!! And it's a much nicer day to come out for a coffee So come and stock up on cherries and jams, and grab yourself a yummy treat while you're here

20.01.2022 Who's coming up to visit the Cherry Shed Cafe this weekend? Don't forget that we have lots of delicious home-made jams, sauces, chutneys and fruit pastes for sale, including our famous Cherry Jam!! They make the perfect little Christmas gift, and we even have some made up in gift boxes and baskets so they're all ready to go for your Kris Kringles and Xmas parties But don't forget to buy some for yourself as well

20.01.2022 Hi everyone!! Are you coming in to visit us this week? We still have cherries but we have sold out of seconds. We still have all of our firsts available though and we should have them for sale until the end of this weekend! So don't wait, come and see us for the last fruit of the season, and some coffee and scones while you're at it

18.01.2022 We have recieved lots of messages asking if we are ok, if the cherries are ok, and a lot of questions about when we will be reopening. We'd just like to say thank you for all of your well wishes - we really do appreciate it. Unfortunately I can't give you an answer right now on exactly what is happening or when we will be able to reopen. Situations like these are constantly changing, and I (the person who runs the fb page) am not at the farm right now, but I know that the family is safe and is managing the threat according to our bushfire survival plan. We will reopen as soon as we can, and we obviously hope that that will be tomorrow. However, this will depend on where the fire is burning, road closures, and advice from the CFS. Thank you for your patience, and your understanding, and I will post another update when I can.

18.01.2022 We'd like to wish all of our loyal customers a very merry, and very Cherry Christmas! We hope that wherever you are today you get to see the people you love, whether that be around the table for lunch, or via video chat with the friends and family who can't be with you in person right now. And however you celebrate this holiday, we hope that you and yours are safe and well (and full of yummy cherries!!!) With love, from everyone at Kenton Valley Cherries

18.01.2022 We're open until 5pm today! And the EFTPOS is working! So come on in :-)

18.01.2022 We like to think our cherries are some of the best going around (in SA at least!) but we definitely need to give credit where credit is due: these beauties are amazing!! Congrats to these Tassie cherry growers, they look absolutely delicious

17.01.2022 The year is almost over, but we're still open! We're open from 9am-5pm every day until mid January So come in this afternoon for your NYE cherries, or tomorrow for your new year's day cherries!!

17.01.2022 From our family to yours, everyone at Kenton Valley Cherries would like to wish you a very merry Christmas. We hope you have food to share, and laughter to spare, and that you can escape from the worries of the world for a little while with the people you love. And of course, we hope you have some cherries to enjoy! We're closed today, but we will be open again from 9am tomorrow.

16.01.2022 Whoops! We listed the wrong price for our 26mm first grade cherries on our last post! They're actually EVEN CHEAPER now We've corrected the post, but just to confirm: Seconds are down to $8 per kg 26mm firsts are down to $12 per kg ... 28mm firsts down to $30 for 2 kg 30mm+ firsts are only $36 for 2 kg So come in and grab some delicious cherries to share with friends and family during the holidays We're here from 9am-5pm every day now until we run out of cherries in mid January

15.01.2022 WE WILL BE OPEN TOMORROW, MONDAY 23 DECEMBER! Please note that we will be reopening tomorrow, and we will have fresh cherries for sale. However, we will only have a small number of staff working, so while we are very happy to have you come in and see us, we just ask for your patience if it gets busy. If you are driving from Adelaide to see us please drive safely and observe any road closures or detours that may be in place.... Thank you all for your support and kind wishes during this time, and thank you again for your patience while we get back up and running! We hope to see you all soon

15.01.2022 That's it folks! Another season done. From everyone at Kenton Valley Cherries, we'd like to say THANK YOU for your support this Summer. We hope you've had your fill of cherries, and that your cupboards are stocked up with yummy jams and chutneys to savour throughout the year. And we can't wait you see you all again in November, when we will reopen the cafe for the 2020/2021 season. Stay safe everyone, and look after each other!

15.01.2022 Happy New Year!! With love, from everyone at Kenton Valley Cherries Happy New Year!! With love, from everyone at Kenton Valley Cherries

14.01.2022 Since the season has finished a bit early for us this year, and because of the extreme weather we've been faced with, we have decided to close up at 5pm this Wednesday the 15th of January. So tomorrow and Wednesday are the last days to come in and have a coffee, maybe a cheeky cherry slice or cherry milkshake, stock up your freezer with cherry pies and crumbles, and grab a last jar of cherry jam before we close for the 2019/2020 season We hope everyone understands why we're closing a bit early this year - it has been a tough season for everyone in the hills this year - and we hope we'll see lots of you tomorrow and Wednesday to say "see you next season!" Once we close this week we will remain closed until November, in time for the 2020/2021 season.

14.01.2022 We are open, but things are still a bit crazy We are selling cherries as quickly as we can pack them, but we do not necessarily have everything available. If you're coming in to collect an order, we will fill it as best as we can, and if you haven't placed an order, we appreciate your patience as there may be a bit of a wait while we pack the cherries for you As for access, at this stage you can get through via Stirling in one direction and via North East Road from the o...ther direction. We spoke to police and CFS before we decided to reopen today, and they gave us the go ahead, but please drive safely and make sure you follow any local directions regarding speed restrictions and detours. Thank you all for your understanding and your support! We appreciate your kind words and your continued patronage more than we can say, especially now (Edit: the coffee machine is now on and food is available ) (2nd Edit: the EFTPOS is back up and running!)

13.01.2022 Yes, we still have cherries! First grade 26mm $12 per kg First grade 28mm 2kg boxes $30 ($15 per kg)... Don't miss out - we will sell out! But if you're coming this weekend then you will be able to get cherries

09.01.2022 Just a quick update: we will need to remain closed until the roads are clear and open. At the moment public access to Kenton Valley Road is restricted, so there's no way in to the KVC Cafe. We want to reopen as soon as possible, and we'll update you again as soon as we can. Thanks again for your patience and your kind words

09.01.2022 Ok folks, Santa's coming tonight so we'll be closed tomorrow! But don't worry, we'll be open again on Boxing Day from 9am-5pm

08.01.2022 Hi everyone!! Guess what? IT'S ALMOST KENTON VALLEY CHERRY TIME!!! This year we will be opening the Cafe in line with the season, so as soon as we have cherries ready to sell, our doors will be open. The exact opening date will depend on what the weather does for the next couple of weeks but we are planning on a mid-November start. Watch this space for updates. COVID-19 restrictions will impact the number of people allowed inside the cafe at a time, so if you...'re just dropping by for cherries you'll be able to pick them up without even coming into the shop! Keep an eye out for new signage and directions, and please remember to be patient with our staff, and with each other, during the busy periods. So, who's excited!?

07.01.2022 Christmas leftovers are so much better with Kenton Valley Cherries! My ham and cheese sandwich wouldn't be nearly as good without a liberal dollop of KVC Cherry Chutney Yummy!!! If you haven't picked any up yet, we're open every day now until the end of January, from 9am-5pm

07.01.2022 Phew - what a weekend! Thanks to everyone who came up to see us, it was so great to be open again We will now be open EVERY DAY from 9am-5pm until the end of the season. We'll be open from 9am-5pm today, tomorrow and Tuesday, and then that's it folks But we have something even more important to tell you all: today is Rebecca's last day working in the Cherry Shed Cafe! Rebecca has been working with us for 8 years, but she's leaving us now to start her career in Occupational Therapy. We're very sad to see her go, but we're excited for her as well, and want to wish her all the best for this next exciting chapter in her life. We'll miss you Rebecca!!
