We are so thrilled to announce that a member of Kenwick Toastmasters won the 1st place for Humorous Speech Contest. 18.01.2022 Kenwick Toastmasters conducted its first ever online Humorous Speech and Table Topic contest last Sunday. There were 5 contestants for Table Topic contest and also 4 contestants for Humorous Speech Contest. We thank and congratulate all the contestants for keeping us entertained with their outstanding speeches. We take this opportunity to thank the Contest Chair, Chief Judge and her team of judges, Zoom Masters, Tally Counters, Timers and our Club Coaches for making this onl...ine event a success. 09.01.2022 A meeting with a twist! In our last session, our members had the opportunity to practice their impromptu speaking skills throughout the meeting. Saminda came up with an entertaining Round Robin session with the theme 'Spring', which is connected to the month of September. Gayan played the role of the Table Topics Master and based his topics around 'news reporter'. It was interesting see how each speaker represented each of the news segments.... Kutty's humours speech about wildlife was hilarious and convinced us to become wildlife sponsors. Are you uncomfortable at public speaking or presenting something to a larger group? 04.01.2022 It was amazing to see two new guests joining our online session, Nirosha and Niclas. You two nailed your first ever table topics session! There were three well prepared speeches by Hasindu, Kamal and Shaun! Learnt a lot from your speeches as well as from the speech evaluators. We were also lucky to experience a surprise visit from our Area Director, Ronnie.
