23.01.2022 You may have received a notice in the mail recently about changes to your mail delivery. It outlines a reduction in local postal services. Last week, the Morrison Government locked in plans to drop deliveries from daily to once every two to three days as a temporary measure due to COVID-19. Labor will fight to ensure that this measure remains temporary.

22.01.2022 With much of the country still encountering COVID-19 restrictions, it's far too early for JobKeeper to be reduced. Sign the petition to keep JobKeeper kicking - https://www.mattkeogh.com//keep-jobkeeper-kicking-petition/

21.01.2022 Oh its been a long 7 years Jason Clare

20.01.2022 I was proud to join Transport Workers Union WA Branch - TWU WA Qantas workers as they stood up for their jobs that their employer plans to outsource. In a time where we are losing JobKeeper and JobSeeker subsidies, now is not the time to outsource and destabilize these jobs.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Dean from GOSAC - Give Our Strays A Chance who has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support stray animals, the very deserving winner of the Burt Youth Volunteer Award and congratulations to runner up Sam!

13.01.2022 Today is Australian Citizenship Day a day to celebrate the importance of Australian citizenship. Australia is a nation built on migration, and gaining Australian citizenship is often the most significant step in a persons migration story and must always be encouraged, respected, and protected. Unfortunately, there are over 150,000 people living in Australia waiting to have their citizenship applications processed and take their oath of Australian citizenship. Unfairly, future citizens are being forced to wait almost two and a half years for their citizenship applications to be processed, and I know many of you are in our community of Burt.

12.01.2022 As National Cabinet gets underway this morning there is only one thing on Scomos mind...

10.01.2022 While the COVID pandemic has been awfully difficult for everyone across the nation, it really has brought out the best in our local communities. If you know someone who has gone above and beyond to support our community this year, please do put them forward.

09.01.2022 The Morrison recession is causing a national jobs crisis. Scott Morrison must deliver a plan for jobs that ensures no Australian worker is left behind. He hasn't developed that plan for jobs, or our economy, so Anthony Albanese has done it for him.

09.01.2022 Tomorrow thousands of people in our community will be subjected to the Morrison Government's cuts to JobSeeker. Snapping back JobSeeker to $40 a day is not a plan for jobs. Its the wrong time for the government to be withdrawing economic support the country is in recession.

08.01.2022 Today is the International Day of Sign Languages - it was my pleasure to take part in the Auslan Community Leaders Challenge for 2020! #AuslanCommunityLeadersChallenge2020 #Auslan #InternationalDayofSignLanguages Deaf Services The Deaf Society

08.01.2022 My first job in the law was joining my Mum in my Grandfather's legal practice in down town Kelmscott. It's small family businesses like this that keep our communities going and they must be celebrated this National Family Business day! #NFBD20 Family Business Australia

03.01.2022 Footy clubs like Armadale Senior Football Club are the backbone of our community. Its concerning local footy clubs may be missing out on funding they need to be able to support our next generation of sports stars, not to mention the wonderful work they do in the wider community.
