16.01.2022 PANS & PANDAS Awareness Day PANS & PANDAS is: - sudden onset of OCD, anxiety and other neuropsychiatric symptoms following an infection - very impactful on a child's life - emotional, social and academic... - devastating for parents as they struggle to find answers PANS & PANDAS is not: - a result of parenting - going to go away with more discipline - well understood and there is a lack of acknowledgement for the families facing this condition #remed #naturalmedicine #pans #pandas #awareness

14.01.2022 We are very excited to be announcing that we will be hiring a new naturopathic intern in 2021 Last year ReMed was very blessed to receive funding from Australian Naturopathic Summit to establish our first ever internship with Emily Ahern - Naturopath (who is staying with us at ReMed) The year together was such a success - that ReMed is going solo with it in 2021. ... For those not in the profession, you may not realize that most naturopaths have to go into business for themselves as there are not many employment opportunities outside of a retail environment. Studying naturopathy is more challenging than most people realise, incorporating a lot of science, it certainly is no mean feet to complete - it can be really daunting for new graduates trying to get started in clinic. If you are - or know - a naturopath who has graduated in the last 2 years let them know about this exciting opportunity

09.01.2022 What pots and pans are you using? Non-toxic cookware can be harder to find than you think: Avoid pans made of: aluminium: can leach into food... copper: can leach into food ceramic-coated: are usually coated with a synthetic polymer that breaks down over time non-stick (Teflon): originally made with toxic PFOA, the coating now contains a synthetic coating polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) that can be released at high temperatures Best to choose: cast iron: can leach iron into food so not suitable if you have iron overload stainless steel: most contain nickel which is not suitable if you are sensitive to nickel glass: good for baking but not great for the stove top Given how much we like to cook, I am currently researching people's experiences of the healthier options - we are currently using stainless steel - which is definitely NOT non-stick. What do you use? Solidteknics? Made In cookware? Xtrema Ceramic? GreenPan? Pros? Cons? Please let me know...

07.01.2022 Conference COVID-style! Loving the first session on brain health and how we can train our brain to enhance neuroplasticity #ihcsym2020

04.01.2022 This movie - disturbing and quite depressing - but an incredible look at the story and health issues surrounding Teflon. Won’t find any non-stick pans here!

04.01.2022 I am incredibly honored to have been invited to speak at NatEx conference in 2021. This event is so critical for the naturopathic profession - a space to connect, learn and be inspired in how we can achieve our dreams and make a difference. Personally, being a Melbourne-based practitioner currently in Stage 4 lockdowns - and unable to travel more than 5km from my home - it's a source of joy! I can't wait to get out of Victoria and hang out with my tribe For any nats that haven't registered, I would highly recommend getting a ticket - it's going to be great! https://www.tammyguest.com/natupreneur-experience/

02.01.2022 Join me this Thursday for a free webinar for parents on OCD, tics, PANS and PANDAS
