25.01.2022 You'd think that would be a no brainer...
25.01.2022 We can just assume they're all corrupt and base our votes on that. If claims are baseless then why gag journos?
24.01.2022 Libs or Labor. Any party really. They don't have our interests at heart. Shame we only have three party player choices this election.
23.01.2022 You would think the local member would notice something like this? #fightingwithkippel #bigmouthbrittany
23.01.2022 Who can't be trusted Wade Rothery for Keppel - Pauline Hanson's One Nation?
23.01.2022 First one is self promotion, however, what do you think? Is fast tracking projects appropriate? Audits are probably welcome. New Bradfield scheme needs serious environmental consideration before moving forward. What focus is on KEPPEL?
20.01.2022 No plans to support youth and parents to avoid these outcomes. Just slamming struggling parents and their kids when they get to this point.
20.01.2022 We all wonder how each party plans to cover the costs of projects promised on the campaign trail. And to cover the massive debt Queensland is in. And instead of making Keppel developers stick to the alternative energy plan approved by the Qld government 10 years ago, all parties want to spend another $68 million of TAXPAYER MONEY on a gift to developers.
20.01.2022 Clive Palmer has popped a billboard up on Yeppoon/Rocky highway. Perhaps we're getting a fourth candidate.
19.01.2022 Do you think taxpayers should spend $62.5 million to help private developers to open a resort? #GKIpowerpipeline YES? NO?
19.01.2022 What jobs are those?
18.01.2022 This Keppel saga needs to be put to bed. Is @Altum just flexing? "Look at us buying an island, we're big time now." The recent update to the listing (22/07/20) is Great Keppel Island resort redevelopment is still for sale. https://www.commercialrealestate.com.au//1-great-keppel-is Buy it or bugger off! Or Brittany Lauga, start working for this community and get the leases back. Spend $68Mil building something for our community. Build amenities and jetties like the commun...ity are asking for. Build a coral nursery to support the marine park. Create a fish hatchery to restock our green zones. Turn it into an educational tourist attraction. Get thinking about real solutions. 18.01.2022 I know I've already harped on this but it's worth another mention. At a time when that money could have supported devastated small businesses it's going towards "profile raising" in the lead up to the election. Labor and Unions banging on about saving Virgin...did they vote to give this money to save Virgin? The only way that money could positively raise profiles now is if... actually I'll keep my ideas to myself.
18.01.2022 If doing this is your thing, wake up to yourself. These folk are doing what they believe in and putting their hard earned money into their campaigns. Vandalising signs is what a lowlife who doesn't understand democracy would do.
16.01.2022 A family affair taking over from Dad looks like Clancy maybe the Greens candidate picking up all the dosh from the swing votes this election. https://greens.org.au/qld/person/clancy-mullbrick
16.01.2022 Checking out the hard work the folk at Spectator News Magazine are doing informing the public on the election campaign and low and behold they've noticed a name change in our electorate. If you are on any of the "Kippels" I assure you that you are to vote in the Keppel Electorate. Brittany Lauga hard at work with Cap Enterprise keeping our region relevant. Adrian De Groot - LNP for Keppel Wade Rothery for Keppel - Pauline Hanson's One Nation
13.01.2022 I would like to share the Stephen Andrew MP for Mirani survey regarding the boundary realignment but the copy is incredibly bias against Margaret Strelow Mayor and leading the answers he wants to receive. He obviously has his mind made up already and isn't actually interested in peoples opinion more than creating PR fluff for the upcoming election. A good leader would create a survey without all that droll tripe and simply get peoples choice down on record. Like most politicians they like three layers of skin polished off their backside to pick sides. I guess Margaret didn't do that.
12.01.2022 Our only local Newspaper Spectator News Magazine now available at news agencies.
11.01.2022 Good question! Does this person deserve our tax dollars for the rest of her life?
10.01.2022 Labor's tactic is to call everyone stupid if they consider voting another way. Their candidates, members and pages are literally referring to people as stupid for considering our options, which is what democracy is all about. Is this how we want to be treated?
09.01.2022 Interesting viewing the social adverts running for candidates. Lauga and DeGroot running ads from their own pages but One Nation candidates are all pumped out from the central office.
09.01.2022 Looks like social media will be even more relevant now for elections.
09.01.2022 Not a very inspiring election lead up. Same old "The other party is bad because (insert bad thing here)" and no taking responsibility for failures, no looking at local issues, no listening to the community etc. Will be a hard choice at the polls.
07.01.2022 Scott Morrison is washing his hands of public schools again. Truly, you’d think during a pandemic the Liberals could give public schools a fair go for once. Does the Prime Minister really think the health of public school kids and teachers is less important?
06.01.2022 UPDATE: ECQ hasn't issued the writ so these signs are premature. Wade Rothery for Keppel - Pauline Hanson's One Nation why are you flouting the rules? Did you check the rules? Rather large election signs popping up. Unfortunately it seems that election signs can be erected with the "issuing of the writ" (when an election date is announced) but what about other requirements? Size, timber stakes? These are state requirements. Other councils only allow election propaganda during the election period, unfortunately Livingstone Shire Council allows it anytime before. Let's hope we don't see more of these oversized signs littering our roads for the next five months.
04.01.2022 Thanks Paul for the important info. Only a short time left to vote. Don't waste it.
04.01.2022 Candidate nominations today Wednesday, October 7 and they close at noon on Sunday, October 11. Let's see who else throws their hat into the ring. Will we have a Greens candidate?
03.01.2022 Central Queensland charities and community organisations can receive an immediate funding injection from the federal government.
02.01.2022 I wonder if the local ON candidate agrees with this vote. Or agrees with removing workers rights in general.
