25.01.2022 This week the children have been learning about Greece, Japan, Thailand and India. We have located these countries on the globe and compared their size to Australia. We learnt some interesting facts about each country and had the opportunity to try on their traditional dress clothes. We learnt various games that the children play and also tried some traditional food from each country. The children also participated in an informal tea ceremony!

24.01.2022 We have had an indoor day today. The children in the Possum Room have been busy completing floor puzzles and playing Jamanga to continue to challenge their critical thinking skills.

24.01.2022 The children in the Pre school room have been learning about Winter sports this week. We had fun as we practised some soccer and netball skills.

24.01.2022 On Monday we had a visit from Kym, the reptile man! He brought up some reptiles to look at, touch (if we wanted to) as well as learning some interesting facts about each one. They included Susie the shingle back lizard, giant meal worms, Yoda the green tree frog as well as Rufus the Diamond python. Thanks for visiting us. We look forward to seeing you next year!

22.01.2022 This week the children in the Pre-School room have been exploring colours. We have been matching coloured buttons onto pictures, manipulating coloured playdough and finding coloured objects in our classroom. When we were outside we explored colours using the sun as a reflector to make coloured shadows on the fence.

21.01.2022 Its pyjama week at Kindy this week! Wear your favourite pyjamas and bring along your favourite pillow to Kindy.

18.01.2022 Were all this together!

18.01.2022 We have been learning about shadows in the Pre-school room this week. We discovered that we need a bright light to make a shadow, such as the sun or a lamp. We had a lot of fun tracing around our shadows outside and watching them change throughout the day. We all had our portrait shadow drawn and then we painted them with black paint.

18.01.2022 This week we are continuing our Australia Day topic. Today the children played with the Australian animals in the sensory trough as well as making birthday cakes with green and gold playdough. We finished our afternoon activities by having some vegimite on toast!

16.01.2022 We are opening tomorrow for the new year from 8.00am. We are excited to be meeting our new families and welcoming back our returning families.

15.01.2022 Its Science Week! We have had a lot of fun exploring household products to use in experiments. We have made slime using chia seeds, blown bubbles inside each other, created an eruption using coke and mentos, created bubbles to go over children and made our own lava lamp using bicarb soda, oil, water and vinegar.

13.01.2022 Mr Bamboozle came and visited us today. He talked to the children about friendship, sharing and being kind. He used magic tricks to teach this important concept to the children.

Please join us this Monday, 28th October, between 4.30 and 5.30pm for some light refreshments as you browse through our Art Gallery of the childrens art and craft works in each classroom. 06.01.2022 We have had some special visitors at Kindy this week. Yesterday Alexs mum brought in a three week baby lamb for us to pat. They are minding Sparkles for the weekend! Today Eden brought in her two dogs for us to meet. Frank and Dobby were excited to be at Kindy! Thanks for visiting.

06.01.2022 Today our new mud kitchen arrived! This was a very popular place this afternoon, cooking pizzas and making tea.

05.01.2022 We are starting to get ready for Christmas at Kindy. The children helped to decorate the Christmas tree then wrote some letters to Santa!

04.01.2022 Today the children in the Pre-School room have been practising using their fine motor skills as they choose fruit from the bowl using tongs. This was a great activity to enhance the development of these important small muscles in our hands.

04.01.2022 The children were busy on Monday making some slices for our Biggest Morning Tea which was held yesterday. We had a beautiful sunny morning to enjoy our cuppa and raise funds for the Cancer Council!

03.01.2022 Yesterday we had a visit from Donna and Dave from "Just Dream Productions". They brought a variety of amazing creatures from the insect and arachnid world. The children were provided with a hands on display with lots of interesting facts. At the conclusion we were able to paint our own plaster insects to take home.

03.01.2022 The children in the Koala room have been discussing farms as some of the children have been visiting relatives who live on farms lately. The children were keen to explore the vegie patch - harvesting and selling the vegetables at the farmers market. They particularly liked feeding oats to the animals to help them grow. We were excited to see baby chickens that Sophie brought in to show us. We watched them run around chirping to each other.

01.01.2022 Our Art Show last was a great success. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and extended family members that joined us. The children were so excited to show their families their beautiful art and craft works that they had created! The theme for the Koala room was "in the garden" and the theme for the Possum room was "things that fly".
