23.01.2022 What an amazing lady! #carriesbeanies4braincancer
22.01.2022 It is with deep thought and discussion that the advised date for this event will be postponed to the Saturday the 2nd of May 2020 - due to the unknown results of the outbreak of COVID 19. I know that under advisement from the local council and Chief Medical Officer, there is a restriction on non-essential public gatherings of greater than 500 people, as it has the potential to accelerate the spread of COVID19. However, this decision was made as safety is our highest priority... for Hannah and her support swimmers. Registered swimmers are advised to contact us further if you have any enquires or questions about any of the events information. We thank the Yeppoon community for their support and understanding during this unprecedented time and urge everyone to say safe and act hygiene smart!

06.01.2022 Thank you to the beautiful Kate Edwards Oram for taking time to talk with me about my fundraiser.
06.01.2022 Just a little food for thought If I can swim from Keppel to the Cap Coast without being bitten by a shark then our waters are safe. Yes, everyday you take a risk swimming in the ocean, whether sharks are around or not. Just like driving in a car, you risk your chances of being in a car accident. I’m one for safer waters for our community, but I also believe education is necessary as well. #sharkdontinfestwaterstheylivethere
04.01.2022 Now, as we enter Brain Tumour Awareness month, I would just like to thank everyone for all you’ve done to help us get where we are today. Without the event even going ahead it has raised almost $6,000!!! Together we’ve made very significant strides forwards in terms of raising awareness, but despite this, still only 8% of people know that brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. It devastates so many families every year an...d it breaks my heart everyday that it is currently effecting a beautiful family in our community. Please help me to double this national awareness percentage and at the same time, help increase fundraising for this cause. My goal is $10,000! #forourmatepete Make a donation this month if you haven’t already, and I CHALLENGE YOU to ask 10 others to do the same it can even as simple as giving up the second coffee for the day. More further updates on the event in the next couple of weeks, finalising a few things and waiting for the all clear from the physiotherapist to get back in the pool again. 02.01.2022 Even though this event may be on hold for now - whether it be for tomorrow, next month or next year my heart is so full for the support and love from this beautiful community. Yeppoon isn’t like the rest, we are a unique piece of paradise filled with some pretty amazing people. Even though no one knows what will happen, and all of sudden there’s an awaking of uncertainty. We should see it as an opportunity to appreciate the little things we have got right in front of us. Think of it as an opportunity to slow down and be with those who we treasure. Stay strong Yeppoon x Han
