22.01.2022 Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and College Community, The College is monitoring the latest information regarding increased COVID-19 case numbers in Victoria as well as the mandate that from Sunday 2 August at 11:59pm, a face covering will be mandatory [for all Victorians 12 years of age and older] whenever you leave home. This announcement leaves many questions unanswered regarding the requirements for schools as regional schools have been under different guidelines tha...n schools in the Melbourne and Mitchell Shire. The College will release requirements & guidelines for wearing masks, particularly pertaining to students, by close of business on Friday, 31st July if not before. 12.01.2022 Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and College Community, In alignment with regulations and advice from the Victorian Government, Kerang Christian College students in Prep Year 12 will commence classes as planned on Thursday, 16th July as the College is outside of the Melbourne Metro and Mitchell Shire lockdown areas. The College continues to implement hygiene measures which will be reinforced with students upon their return. Students should wash their hands before and afte...r eating and break times. Enhanced cleaning protocols established in Term 2 will be continued including sanitising play equipment after break times and sanitising high-contact surfaces. 12.01.2022 Dear College Community, The Victorian Government yesterday announced a further easing in the planned return to onsite learning in rural and regional Victoria. We have amended our scheduled return to onsite classes in Term 4. Please see below the schedule and communication from the College Leadership.
11.01.2022 Dear College Community, Please see the attached information regarding the return to remote learning in alignment with the Victorian Premier’s announcement this afternoon. We apologise for the late correspondence. Earlier today, Premier Daniel Andrews advised that all of Victoria will be returning to remote learning, stating that if [students] can learn from home, [they] must learn from home. ... -On Monday, 3rd August, students and staff will attend the College on site as planned. Wearing masks will be required for staff and for secondary students. -Tuesday, 4th August will be a pupil-free day for staff to prepare remote learning platforms. No students will be permitted on site. -Staff and students will commence remote learning from Wednesday, 5th August. We are asking all parents and guardians to complete the CareMonkey permission which will be forthcoming this evening. If students are healthy, it is critical that they attend school tomorrow for important instructions about remote learning procedures and expectations, to collect laptops as delegated, to ensure access to SEQTA Learn and MyEdOnline as well as to collect any materials needed off site.
