23.01.2022 * Are you a supporter for our Kerang Show? Do you want our show to continue? We invite you to attend our Annual meeting held at 7.30pm, Wednesday 18th March at the Show office. ... A copy of the Annual report will be available if you notify the secretary of your attendance by phone or email - [email protected]. New ideas and support is needed to keep our town's oldest organisation continuing. Bring your ideas along and supper will follow the meeting. 22.01.2022 Kerang & District Agricultural Society Inc. Annual Meeting is this Wednesday night,17th March, 7.30pm, at the Secretary's office at Kerang Show grounds . Supper will be provided after the meeting for those attending to get to know each other. The Committee would like members of the Community to attend and support our Annual Show. You may be interested in giving support to the Committee by becoming a member or interested in being on one of the sub-committees. You may wish... to be a support to one of the committee persons thus getting to know how a Show functions. You may wish to just be a volunteer for Working Bees. Let us know your interest and ideas for what can help build a bigger and better event.. This is the oldest organisation in Kerang and without help we may sadly not be there in the years to come for the members of our community to enjoy. Do your young family members have any ideas? 22.01.2022 Kerang Show hopes all had an enjoyable Easter, as best could be, with the circumstances we all face at present. Please keep in touch with your family, friends and particularly the older members of your family and the community. A phone call, face time, skype etc will let them know you are thinking of them. Even a note in their letterbox to let them know that you are thinking of them would be a lovely gesture. Now the school term has started we hope all parents and teachers ca...n do the best they are able to at this time. There will be many who now have to be a support to our school children for them to get done the work that they have set before them. Do not stress and remember that we all face the same issues and encouraging our children to be able to do their work with our encouragement. Keep safe. See more

21.01.2022 Northern District Show Group AGM due to be held on July 27th has been postponed until a later date to be decided due to the CODVID19 restrictions. You may not be aware that all Northern district Group shows have cancelled for this Spring. TO ALL OUR VAS Ltd & NDAS 2019 COMPETITION WINNERS - due to there being no 2020 Kerang Show your winning entries from 2019 show will go onto the 2021 Group finals next year. If yoiu have any queries regarding this please do not hesitate ...to contact our show Secretary on 0417 545 165. VAS Ltd & NDAS will contact you early next year regarding your entries.

20.01.2022 Show Committee meeting is on Wednesday 21st April at the Show office @ 7.3-0pm. Hope all committee members will be in attendance. Please send apology to the Secretary if you are unable to attend.

19.01.2022 We would like to inform all those who knew the late Jack Fowler that we now have information regarding his funeral. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at the Kerang Lawn Cemetery on Monday 22nd February commencing at 11am. Following the Committal a Memorial Service will be held at the Kerang Turf Club commencing at 12 noon.

18.01.2022 TODAY WOULD HAVE BEEN THE 137th KERANG & DISTRICT AGRICULTURAL SHOW BUT COVID19 STEPPED IN OUR WAY Today is a time for reflections on what has been in those 137 years and what it will be in the future. To all our members, loyal sponsors and the wider community we look forward to 2021. As we all wait for the lifting of COVID restrictions we can look at what we will do differently in our future years. Many things may not be the same and we may have also learnt a lot along t...he way. We can reflect on our past shows and look positively towards our future shows. Maybe you would like to come onboard as a Committee member. Our show will need volunteers to stage our show next year. If you would like more information do contact our President or Secretary for more information. Stay safe and remember to obey all the restrictions, particularly mask wearing and social distancing. 17.01.2022 KERANG SHOW COMMITTEE MEETING SCHEDULED FOR THIS COMING WEDNESDAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO STAGE 4 COVID RESTRICTIONS. The meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday 2nd March at 8pm. The Annual meeting is Wednesday 17th March at 7.30pm. NOTE CHANGE OF MEETING TIME DUE TO COMING INTO THE COOLER MONTHS. The Show is the longest standing event in Kerang and is wanting new Committee members. Are you a community minded person who would be interested in joining the committee? ... Mentoring will be provided to help you understand the the show organisation. Maybe you are interested in being an office bearer for the organisation. It is great to have those who have waited 18 months for the final,s due to COVID, to be able .to showcase their entries, The Kerang Show Committee thank you sincerely for your on going support and hope you will again be competing in this year's show.

16.01.2022 WEEK THREE has happened for our 2020 Debutante set yesterday. Welcome to another debutante and partner who have joined our set. You both worked so well on your dancing for your first practice. We hope you will enjoy the coming weeks as we get closer to the Ball. You all were again excellent this week and we also welcome Marty to the set. Hope you enjoy being a partner Marty. Your moves on the floor were very good too. ... it is great to see you all enjoying the challenges that Libby puts before you as you learn new dances. Come along next Sunday afternoon to spend time t...ogether focussing on all the things that went RIGHT. Guest speakers from the community, music, reflection, afternoon tea - sounds like a wonderful Sunday arvo!

14.01.2022 The Kerang & District Agricultural Society Inc. is saddened by the passing of a great long time stalwart of our organisation, Jack Fowler. Jack's tireless hours and loyalty given to our annual show has been tremendous. For over 60 years Jack was a volunteer who gave greatly as our horse measurer, competitor, steward, booking steward for horse entries and stalls, and the sale of straw for exhibitors attending our show. Jack was well known state wide and will be sadly misse...d. For your many, many voluntary hours given, our heartfelt thanks. Vale Jack Fowler Our sincere condolences to Liz and family. See more

12.01.2022 Just touching base with all our members and supporters. We hope you have been keeping warm on these frosty mornings we have had and boy were they frosty! At least the days are nice to enjoy. Spring will be here with us next week so here's hoping for some more glorious days ahead. We hope you are coping with the new restrictions and we will keep our fingers cross that things will change for the better in the next few weeks. ... The birds are providing us some lovely songs as the sun shines especially the magpies who are warbling for our enjoyment. Be careful of them swooping and also the busy spur wing plovers if you are out walking. We hope you are wearing your masks to keep yourself and others safe. Please remember if you know anyone who is on their own and may enjoy a chat give them a call. They sure would appreciate the thought that someone is thinking of them. Stay safe and here's hoping the COVID numbers keep dropping and we can start to see a bit of the real world return. We will all be waiting for the time we can visit our love ones who we have not seen for so long. Think of families that are separated due to employment in other states and can't come back home to see their love ones at present. Some have not being home since February.when WA closed their borders and other states who closed their borders later. Keep a watch for some interesting things that NDCH are planning in the next few months. You may be interested in joining in and enjoy something different. See more

We must keep this iconic event going and celebrate our 136th Show in October. We invite members of the community to attend this meeting and give your support. 11.01.2022 TO ALL NDAS GROUP FINALS FIRST & SECOND WINNERS AT THE 2019 KERANG SHOW. As you are aware our 2020 Northern Group finals was not able to happen last year. Those who won at their 2019/20 summer and autumn shows are eligible to to compete at the 2021 Group finals in Mildura. The date for these finals is SUNDAY 18th APRIL. The venue is in the Bruce Bawden Pavilion at the Mildura Showgrounds. ... It will be a a shorter version of a Group event with a luncheon on the Sunday. Entries are to be in between 9am and 9.30am on the morning of the finals. Judging will commence at 10am. Lunch is at 1.30pm followed by the presentations at approx. 2.30pm. The day will be a Victorian Government Tier 3 COVIDsafe Venue and event. Mildura Show Society must be congratulated for the their hard work to provide finals after the last minute cancelling last year. 09.01.2022 TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS.- We hopeyou all are coping with the restrictions we are facing regarding COVID19. Please make sure you keep yourselves and our community safe as we ride through this pandemic. Remember our older members in our community and our friends by giving them a call or a quick visit to check on them. We all handle isolation in different ways and remember if you need contact with someone please give a friend a ring. ... A phone call does wonders, just hearing a fiendly voice and having a chat. 09.01.2022 Kerang Show Annual Poultry Auction which was to be held on Monday June 8th 2020 has been cancelled due to the COVID19 restrictions. We are disappointed that we cannot hold this event this year but will look forward to your support on Monday June 14th 2021. Please stay safe and obey all Government restrictions.

09.01.2022 THE VAS Ltd Board met on Monday night and a decision was made to cancel this year's VAS Ltd State Convention. It was to be held at Lilydale the last weekend of June. With the unsure situation of Corona Virus it was vital for a decision to be made earlier rather than closer to the time. Follow VAS Ltd Face Book page for updated information on what further decisions may have to be made. STAY SAFE

07.01.2022 The Kerang Show Committee wishes to inform our sponsors, members, exhibitors and friends that our Show, which was to be held on Monday 7th October 2020, has been cancelled due to COVID19. This decision was not taken lightly but due to restrictions we feel in the best interest of all concerned we had to make a decision at this time. We thank all our sponsors and the public who have supported us in the past and look forward to you coming back on board next year. With the Melbourne Show cancellation and others in our state doing the same. We will keep you posted if we have any further information for you. 07.01.2022 To all our Committee, members and supporters. Hoping you are all coping with the new restrictions 3 of COVID19 which is back with us again. It will be challenging but if we obey all before us we will have done our part during this pandemic. I hope that in 6 weeks time some of the restrictions can be a thing of the past. There may have to be a number still in place well into the future. On these chilly days I hope you can find something to do to fill in the hours of the d...ays whilst you stay warm. Don't forget to wear your mask (or a scarf over your face) when you venture out into the public areas. To all of you who feel lonely by being isolated do ring a friend or friends and have a chat. 07.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE: This information is for all our 2019 Kerang Show exhibitors with NDAS and VAS Ltd competitions to go to the Group Finals, at Mildura next weekend. Sadly the Finals have been POSTPONED due to the Corona Virus issues our country is facing. At a later date it may have to be cancelled. We work with the unknown regarding what we have to do next but must follow all regulations that have been set . We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we have to foll...ow all Government advice and we will keep you posted if there is any changes. 04.01.2022 Our debutantes and their partners are going along very well with their practice. Thank you to those who have been punctual to practice.v Please if you are running late or unable to attend practice let Jorja know. they are doing very well with their presentation dances. We sincerely thank Beryl for giving her time last night to train the debutante set for us. There is no training this week so enjoy your Easter with your family and friends. 02.01.2022 We are sorry to announce the postponement of our Debutante Ball due to the new regulations set by the Government regarding crowds etc. Following our meeting of Debutantes, partners and parents we thank you for your understanding and do note our disappointment on the decision we have had to make. Jorja will be keeping in contact with you all, and as decided last night we hope that the Ball will be able to proceed later. This will depend on what happens in the future regarding the Corona Virus. Thank you all for your ideas and support as we work through these issues placed before us.

It is a much different Easter this year compared to our last 2020 Easter being in restrictions due to COVID. Enjoy your holiday break. The Show Bag Factory trailer, which attends Kerang Show each year will be in Kerang this Thursday and Friday, 8th& 9th October. It will be located on the vacant block, between Franzini Motors and the Kerang District Health Op Shop, in Fitzroy street. ... TRADING HOURS - 10am -6pm Thursday and 10am - 5-pm on Friday. A great opportunity for obtaining something to remind you of our show. Let all your friends know and we hope Mal and his team will be supported. They will be on the vacant block between Franzini Motors and the KDH Rita Hall Opportunity shop. It is great to have Mal and his showbag trailer in town. For all those who have missed their "fix" of this year's show bags at our show due to COVID19. ... Show bags will be available between 10am and 6pm Thursday and again between 10am and 5pm Friday. Having been in ISO for the past weeks here is a chance for an outing - even if it is only in Kerang to get your showbags. Remember safe distancing and wearing masks when you are out. See more
