17.01.2022 BLOSSOM SHOOT ANNOUNCEMENT Tomorrow night at around 8.30pm, Ill be opening bookings for a limited number of Family shoots for next weekend and the following. At an incredible Almond Orchard in the Adelaide Hills in full bloom, that will only last a couple of weeks ! ... Dates and times coming tomorrow night. Special price of $150 ( normally $250 ) for a fun and relaxed one hour shoot with me. Prints, Packages, Wall Prints and Digital files are seperate. More details coming. Some photographers charge a bundled fee to shoot and for all the digital files. My business model is to charge an affordable shoot fee and offer beautiful Fine Art prints and Bespoke handmade products. Thats my passion and has been for many years. In my humble opinion and experience, professional photography needs to be printed and handled by experts to create the magic intended. 15.01.2022 Hi Lovelies, I have made some heartfelt, rather enormous but exciting decisions in the last few months. For over 20 years, Ive shot hundreds and hundreds of weddings. I am grateful and feel lucky I have managed to stay fully booked for all this time. ... Ive met beautiful couples, many have become my friends and witnessed, felt and captured wonderful love. Ive put all of me into every single wedding. What that also means is that it has consumed lots of my weekends and personal life. Creatively, I have not had the space to shoot much else. For a few years, I have been wanting to change things up and go back to my roots and shoot mainly Portrait and Family Work. That is what I did entirely for the first 10 years of my career, first in a large Adelaide studio running the Family and Kids Photography at 24 years old and then at the start of my own business. This unsettling time of Covid has given me some time to think deeply about what I want. To reset. Forced me to be brave and take the step. Brave because its no easy feat to completely change the nature of your business. I am booked out with weddings from late September until June next year. AS OF JULY 2021, I WILL BE BOOKING ONLY 10 -12 WEDDINGS A YEAR instead of 30/35. Eventually, once I have rebuilt my Portrait Business, I will not shoot weddings at all. If you are planning your wedding for latter part of next year, and are interested in me photographing your special day, please contact me ASAP. " This does not affect any of my current Wedding bookings ! " I am currently working on new services, beautiful products, pricing and lots more for my Portrait Work. Launching in a month or so. I will be amping up for Family and Portrait work soon and would appreciate the support so much of anyone who loves my work. My pricing will be affordable and fair with many options for as much or as little as you like. Im all about love, connection, family and the simple, lovely things in life and my work reflects this. 14.01.2022 People who have contacted me about my Family / Portrait Sessions ... I apologize for the delay, I am working my buns off to get my new info pack done amongst other work. I decided to squeeze the Blossom shoots in quickly as they are only flowering for a tiny window of time. ... My plan is to have complete this week, to email those on my list and to then do exclusive shoots as well as open up shoots / locations / special offers every few weeks or so. 13.01.2022 " LOCATION SCOUTING " I am currently building a folio of Location options for my Family and Portrait Work. Strathalbyn, The Hills, The Fleurieu, Adelaide and more. Fields, Forests, Orchards, Beaches, Gardens, National Parks, Reserves, little pockets of pretty. ... While unique locations has always been my passion, I cant be everywhere at once ! I am seeking help from friends and people who love my work. If you know of a beautiful spot or come across an epic location, even if it may only be there for a few weeks. A Canola field, sunflowers in a paddock, a stunning spot in Autumn with trees and leaves, a sweet picket fence, a rustic barn, so many ideas, please flick me a message or email. I have some families whose place I use each year and in exchange I do them a beautiful family shoot annually. Id love you to keep your eyes peeled. 13.01.2022 My dream for a long time has been to refocus my business on Family and Portrait Photography. Back to my roots. My heart. And have more time for other photography projects. Its been hard to make the jump as I love weddings, however for me, its time to take the risk and make the change. While this doesnt affect current wedding bookings, it will in the future. Part of my new family work will have a focus on Generation shoots and our beautiful " Oldies " and I say that with all the love in the world. 02.01.2022 Studio signage complete ! I had two versions made up, one I can use for inside. I ended up going with green square rather than pink circle. It looked far better in the flesh, the pink looked a little washed out and the circle format wasnt right on the studio exterior. Maybe Ill paint the doors a muted pink. ... Im happy with the look for now !
