25.01.2022 Our chickens are "working" in the orchard for a bit and leaving the raspberry patch for other birds. The Kookaburras are loving it - 3 out there this morning. Patiently (and silently) sitting, quick drop to the ground to get the unsuspecting morsel, then back on their post to wait again....and excitingly, that's not all that's happening in the raspberry patch, yes, the first tiny green shoots are starting to come up. Exciting!!

24.01.2022 Did somebody say "chill" hours? Quite a few frosty mornings lately - cold but stunning.

22.01.2022 Last year, pretty much not a Lapin in sight (oh yeah, that's a variety of cherry, not a rabbit)...this year, what a joyous sight, bunches of little green "fruitlets" hanging out together. Some will probably drop, but we are heartened and excited by what we're seeing! Not only are cherries coming, but the raspberries are starting to flower too. Hang on tight everyone, we're on the ride to the delicious end now.

21.01.2022 If you're in Kadina and surrounds, don't forget your cherry collection is tomorrow from 8 am -12 Noon. If you're near the farm gate....I'll be here with the rest of the team to look after you.

20.01.2022 This baby is hanging on the tree tonight. Could it be yours tomorrow? If you missed out last weekend or you need more, we'll be open from 9am - 11am both tomorrow and Sunday. Golden Delicious & Red Delicious and yes, they are delicious!

20.01.2022 We hope you all had a very safe and happy Easter! If you're feeling like a healthy kick after a few chocolate eggs...we've got the perfect treat. Yes, we're still picking our Golden Delicious and Red Delicious apples. We'll open from 9am - 11am tomorrow (Saturday). If you can't make it then, drop us message, or give us a call and we'll make a plan. We were able to "hook" a few people up with apples last weekend as they were passing - it's always great to see everyone and share the "love".

20.01.2022 We spent the dawn in contemplation and thankfulness. Sharing the moment, joined by light as friends & family. #lestweforget

20.01.2022 PYO raspberries are back the it's perfect weather for a wander. If you're looking for your Christmas Cherries, the Farm Gate is open today and tomorrow from 8am - 6pm and we'll also be at the Willunga Farmers Market - Christmas Twilight Market tonight.

19.01.2022 The raspberry patch will be closed for a day or two, but we're open every day (except Christmas) for juicy cherries. 8am - 6pm.

18.01.2022 So crunchy and good. We're open tomorrow morning, 9am - 11.30am with fresh, crunchy Golden. Delicious and Red Delicious apples.

18.01.2022 A big Merry Christmas to you all!! It's been amazing to see your faces again after last season let so many of us down. Thank you for taking this journey with us. This season the trees are smiling at us all. Big, juicy cherries and plenty of them. We'll be closed tomorrow but open again from Boxing Day until the season ends. See you soon.

17.01.2022 Keen to make something? Not only are we still picking our premium cherries, we also have seconds available for those of you who like to make jams or stew fruit for the Winter (we've even met a few crew who have secret drink recipes). Our seconds are $8/kg. If you're keen, drop us a message or give us a call and we'll put some aside for you.

16.01.2022 We promised to let you know before we sold out.....so here's the post. Yep, we're on our last days of picking, so if you'd like a last fix of "Kerrie's Cherries" cherries before this season ends, come see us soon. Yum!

15.01.2022 Willunga Farmers Market this morning and the Farm Gate is open.

15.01.2022 The bees have waited out the past week of crazy wind, rain and even a little hail...and the blossoms have hung on through it all too. It was fantastic to hear the hum of these little legends working away in the orchard today, helping create the cherries we're all waiting for. Thank you bees!

14.01.2022 It's all about the fresh cherries and refreshing sorbet today and until the season ends. We're still not sure when that will be but you definitely have a few days to be able to get another cherry fix. The PYO raspberry patch is closed for now...and we may have to wait for the Autumn varieties to fruit until we can open it again. If anything changes, we'll let you know. In other news, Pete's in there making his first ever Morello Cherry Jam - we've had the sweet one, now ...we're trying the "sour" one. Can't wait to taste it! #eatlocal #cherryseason2020 #sacherries #sorbet #stellacherry #freshcherries #cherryjam #sourcherryjam

11.01.2022 I definitely say 'yes' to Easter Eggs...but I also say yes to fresh, sweet apples - in season right now. We'll have the Farm Gate open in the morning from 9am - 11am if you would like to "stock-up" for next weekend.

10.01.2022 Happy New Year from all of the team here at Kerrie's Cherries, to all of you wonderful crew who come and support us every season. It's been a tough year for many, but the cherries have decided it's a good one for them, so we'll enjoy that! We're open tomorrow (New Years Day) - normal hours (8am - 6pm) and every day after until we sell out. Both Stella and Lapin are still coming in, so the choice is yours. Take care.

09.01.2022 Spring is here. The new Autumn Raspberry canes are jumping out of the ground, the Summer Raspberry canes are "leafing up" and the cherry blossoms aren't that far away from popping out. Such an exciting time of year on the farm!

08.01.2022 OK, so the sun is only just starting to peak out...so we're keeping the PYO going until 5pm today. I'm just out to pick some more fresh berries too, so there will also be punnets available if you don't feel like picking your own.

08.01.2022 Willinga Farmers Market and Farm Gate both rocking today. Fresh, juicy cherries. See you soon!

07.01.2022 Had to move this little guy out if the way of the mower yesterday. He thought hiding behind a flower would be ok!

06.01.2022 Our Lapin Trees are in full blossom and look and smell amazing. I can't send you the scent, but here are a few pics to enjoy. We know some of you adore Lapins, but last year we were thwarted by frost. Be heartened by these images. We're not there yet, but this is a gorgeous start.

05.01.2022 A few people were keen for a cruisy Sunday morning visit, so we're keen too! We'll open from 9am - 11am tomorrow. Yes, fresh apples, but you can also grab a jam or two, or any of our other products. With these cooler nights, it might be worth taking an extra kilo of apples (like Vikki last weekend) and whipping up an apple crumble...it's sounding pretty good to me right now.

04.01.2022 So gorgeous in the raspberry patch this morning and tonight is set to be just as stunning. If you're able, we'll open for a quick PYO tonight (yep, St Patricks Day - don't eat the green ones, definitely go for the red ones). We'll open from 6pm - 7.30pm. If you can message to confirm numbers, that would be great.

03.01.2022 We've never done it before, but for one weekend only we're offering to serve you at our front gate! You don't have to get out of the car, just wind down the window, tap your card, we'll pass you some goods and off you go! We have fresh and frozen raspberries and blackberries, frozen de-stoned cherries and all of our other lovely jams and sauces. We're also picking fresh, crunchy apples at the moment too! The berry supplies are a bit limited, so it will be first in, but bet...ween the fresh and frozen, we should be able to share the taste with everyone! Both the berries & cherries have been frozen individually before they've been bagged up, so you can grab just a few...or a lot...whatever you need! You can message us your order, we'll confirm it, arrange an approx pick-up time with you and we're all set. We're keen to keep everyone safe, so we'll be sanitising and keeping our distance, but it doesn't mean we love you any less! The product list is on the post! If we don't see you this weekend, thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you later in the year.

02.01.2022 I got a new whipper snipper the other day so I can slice through the weeds a bit more easily. So good! (Especially when they grow as quickly as they are this year!) I'm also keeping the chickens happy as I uncover a few delicacies.
