21.01.2022 Congrats to our MD John James who managed to survive the freezing cold and pouring rain to complete the Vinnies Australia CEO Sleepout last night at Lot Fourteen! Individually, John was able to reach his fundraising target of $4000 due to the incredible generosity of everyone who donated. Thankyou to each and every one of you who supported him in this excellent cause which helps the 116,000 Australians who are affected by homelessness. The amount raised by John contributed to... the amazing national total fundraised of $8.4 million. Please visit the Vinnies website to see what you can do and where your fundraising dollars are spent. John hopes to see some of you next year at the sleepout! #CEOSleepoutAU

19.01.2022 With the Vinnies CEO Sleepout fast approaching, John is close to hitting his fundraising goal of $4,000! We would love it if you could show your support and give generously towards his target. Any contribution will make a huge difference to those in need.

19.01.2022 Quite often in our roles as insurance brokers we get clients who are involved in vehicle accidents where they are not at fault. The first question we often receive is I don’t need to pay my excess, do I?. The answer to this is, if the insurance company agrees that you are not at fault then you will not need to pay an excess. However, for this to be waived by the insurance company, there are four key bits of information that are required for this to happen:... 1. Name of the other person involved in the accident 2. Address 3. Phone number 4. Rego number Hopefully you wont need to experience a vehicle accident, however they do happen and it is always good to keep the above in mind. As always, if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to give one of the qualified insurance brokers at KWI a call. #claims #insurancebrokers

16.01.2022 One of the most common claims we are currently experiencing is theft. It can be unsettling to experience a theft and while no one should have to go through one, they can happen when least expected. There are generally three items required to lodge a theft claim:... 1. Police report number - This is something you can now lodge online with relative ease 2. Proof of ownership - This can often be the sticking point on a theft claim; however proof of ownership isn't just limited to a purchase receipt or invoice. Insurers will often accept the following: - Photos of the items (Recommend for valuable items like jewellery) - A bank statement showing the purchase - Valuation of the item (Artwork, collections, other valuables) - Statutory declaration 3. Replacement quote for the stolen item(s) As always, if you have any questions at all regarding your theft cover, please don't hesitate to contact one of our qualified insurance brokers. KWI. 16.01.2022 Meet Alex. Alex started with KWI the year after finishing senior schooling and a brief stint at Adelaide Brighton Cement in 2010. Including overseeing the operating processes within the company, Alex’s Insurance knowledge stretches across a large number of products. Specialising in Commercial Business and Liability, Farm, and ‘Hard to Place’ risks sourced through the Lloyds of London markets.... Alex enjoys the relationships built with people through the good and the bad times, and the positive results that come of the hard work. He also believes that the job of a Broker has, and will continue to evolve into much more than quoting different Insurers for the best price, and that the knowledge and advice we provide can help individuals and businesses of any kind protect what’s important. 12.01.2022 We all know men are less likely to visit their Doctor of G.P for whether it be regular check ups, or for something as minor as a seasonal cold. Men's Health Week is an important time to consider the physical and mental well being of those around us. Whether it be in a work or social environment, make sure your friends, your colleagues, your family, and yourself are keeping safe and healthy and making the right choices. Men's Health Week June 15-21

12.01.2022 Picture this. You receive an email from someone claiming to be a Mongolian Prince. This person also claims that they are a long lost family member, and that they would be willing to share their $132.5 Milion dollar fortune with you. All you need to do is send through your bank details, and you will become an instant millionaire. ... Now, while most people realise this is fake, potential Cyber attacks can strike you when you least expect it, and in a far more sophisticated w...ay than this. If you handle personal or financial data or records of any kind, a Cyber insurance policy is a must to protect you and/or your business from more than just a Mongolian Prince. Don't hesitate to message, email, or call us to speak with our Cyber expert Alex for more information. KWI. Your insurance specialists. https://kwi.insure/

08.01.2022 GENERAL PROPERTY - Tools of Trade A common mistake with Tools of Trade Insurance is underestimating what your tool/s and equipment are worth, and not having the appropriate insurance in place. For example, your policy may have $10,000 of General Property insurance, but only cover you for a maximum of $2,000 for one item. Which if you have a mobile welder, diagnostic machine, or surveying equipment, is not enough. ... If you have professional persons tools or equipment, you should review your insurance and make sure you are adequately covered in the event of a claim. @kwiinsure #tools #trades #insurance

08.01.2022 In the interests of the South Australian community, and our own staff's health and well-being, we will be adhering the Premier's restrictions by closing our office to the public effective the 17th of November 2020. Should you need to contact us, we are still available by phone or email from the office hours of 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.

07.01.2022 Meet Kerrie: Kerrie Woodards’ 44 years (and counting) of life experience in Insurance and claims handling is what makes KWI what it is today. Kerrie has built the foundation of a trustworthy and professional Insurance brokerage of which we all strive to maintain, living by his motto Locals looking after locals. ... Living in the Barossa region for 35 years has given him the life experiences of his clientele to combine with the job as a broker, with no better example than the importance of insurance on the Wine industry. The expectations from our consumers are high and very personal, and his expertise in all facets of General Insurance provides the ability to assist in any way, shape, or form. Kerrie believes the challenges facing the insurance industry is the ‘self-serve’ aspect through direct channels. By compromising your insurance coverage and buying cheaper online products, the outcome of future claims can be fraught with danger and uncertainty not knowing what protection is behind you. KWI. 06.01.2022 Meet John: Coming from a managerial role at major Insurer CGU, John has been in the owner’s seat of KWI since July 2018. New to the broking game, John has brought in a wide range of fresh ideas and insights, whilst keeping the core values of the business at the forefront.... He believes that the importance of listening to our customers is vital, so we can fully understand their needs and design an Insurance programme suitable that will respond in the event of claims. The price of an insurance policy can more often than not compromise the coverage provided. So finding a competitive option for a quality product is a key part of the role for us as the Broker. KWI. Your Insurance specialists. https://kwi.insure/about-us/our-team

06.01.2022 Meet Austin & Archer Whilst relatively new to the Insurance industry, the past 6 weeks have seen Austin and Archer become valuable members of KWI. Being placed in more an ‘overseeing’ role, they have ensured that staff productivity remain at a high standard throughout the current work-from-home environment. Surprisingly enough, both enjoy being front and centre for the various remote staff web-meetings. Although the enjoyment factor tends to wear thin rapidly.... At times, they can be easily distracted. Referencing a particular interest in Australia Post employees, and fellow canine counterparts. But as they say, you take the good with the bad. Even though their Office hours may be limited, their effect on morale throughout a challenging time has been extremely valuable, and can never be taken for granted. KWI. Your Insurance specialists. https://kwi.insure/about-us/our-team

05.01.2022 Massive congrats to James on his 5 year anniversary in business. Traditionally known as the 'wooden' anniversary for those playing at home! Well done, and we look forward to many more years of Fechner Plumbing

05.01.2022 Congratulations to our own Shaun Woodards and his partner Bel on the safe arrival of their new little girl. Welcome to the world, Chloe Harper!

04.01.2022 Great to have a pre work meeting with Barossa Valley Golf Club making a cracking setting. Fantastic to see the hard work done by everyone paying off and things slowly returning to normal!

03.01.2022 Meet Sam: Sam joined the KWI team in 2016 after previously working at Seppeltsfield Winery in the Barossa Valley. He is currently developing his skills in Commercial and Rural products. But our Domestic and Personal Insurance sector is thoroughly handled by Sam. Keeping on top of new insurers, and new products available to our customers, and in turn keeping the rest of the staff updated on this.... Sam places a large importance on correct and adequate insurance coverage for our clients so that swift action can be taken in the event of a claim, either large or small. He enjoys working with the KWI team, as it is very much a united group. As well as the satisfaction of achieving a positive result for our clients when a claim arises. We should also mention that same satisfaction is enjoyed when the Melbourne Demons win over the weekend Although this can be a rarity for Sam. KWI. Your Insurance specialists. https://kwi.insure/about-us/our-team

03.01.2022 Meet Brigitte: Brigitte operates in the ‘engine room’ of KWI. Whilst not in the office all day every day, her role is to ensure that our clients receive all their up-to-date policy documentation (including those riveting PDS’s and FSG’s). She mostly enjoys being part of the KWI ‘family’, and everyone working as a team to provide the high levels of service which our customers deserve. ... Even though she is not an Insurance broker herself, Brigitte believes that it is important for us all to provide as much support as possible to each other throughout the changes that we face not only with COVID-19, but Business and Life. If there is one certainty when you see Brigitte in the office, she will always greet you with a smile. Her bright and happy demeanor is contagious and keeps us all content. KWI. 02.01.2022 You may remember back in the midst of the SA COVID19 restrictions, we introduced you to Archer. Sadly due to health reasons, Archer has had to undergo surgery on his right leg and will be unable to assist with your enquiries until further notice. We will continue to remain in contact with Archer to ensure that he has a healthy and speedy recovery. In his absence, should you have any matters which need attending to, please contact the office and one of our brokers will be able... to assist. https://kwi.insure/ #sickdog #mandown

28.12.2021 There are more than 116,000 people that are homeless across Australia tonight. Our Managing Director John James will be fundraising for vital services to support them by taking part in the #CEOSleepoutAu for Vinnies Australia on the 17th of June. We would absolutely love it if you could support him by donating via the link below. Any amount at all that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated as we would love to see John reach his fundraising goal of $4000!

24.11.2021 Big congratulations to the two junior Angaston Tennis Club teams who made their respective Grand Finals on the weekend. Whilst not the result that they were hoping for finishing runner-up, it was a great effort in getting to the last game of the year. As sponsors of the ATC, Kerrie Woodards Insurance are proud of the achievements of the club for the 2020-21 season. Go panthers!

06.11.2021 Most workplaces have someone who holds the team together in the tough times, and keeps everyone grounded in the good. In an office entirely of males, this is no easy feat... Unless your name is Brigitte. Brigitte James is the heart and soul of our office who brings positivity to us all like it's sold off the shelf.... We cannot thank you enough. #internationalwomensday

16.10.2021 "The lower the premium, the narrower the cover usually" Australia is one of the most under-insured nations in the developed world, with 1 in 10 business being uninsured completely. There are two underinsurance traps not having any insurance at all, and not having sufficient insurance.... The perils of the no insurance are obvious. But many business owners only find out about the downsides of insufficient insurance after they try to make a claim. Our brokers at KWI are back for 2021, and ready to review your insurance needs and advise of the dangers of being underinsured. https://kwi.insure/contact/
