Be sure to let them know youre from the club if youre heading there for a feed.

13.01.2022 An important message for all our junior families ahead of the new season: Dear Kerrimuir families, We hope that you are all keeping well and safe during this very difficult time for us all. We thought it might be an opportune time to connect with you all to let you know that the committee of Kerrimuir United Cricket Club are in the process of planning for the start of the 2020/21 junior cricket season, whenever that may be.... To help us with our planning, we are asking parents to fill out a short survey (less than 5 minutes) so that we are ready to go once restrictions are lifted and approvals to play are provided. We are not asking for registrations at this stage and will advise you all when these are open. The survey is at https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLScFJrC_87UrM-vZF/viewform If you would like to discuss any questions you may have, including concerns you may have about being able to pay for registration if the pandemic has impacted your income, please let us know. Due to current Stage 4 restrictions we are unable to have a Junior Information evening as would normally occur during August. Instead we have placed the information that would normally be presented on this night in the attached presentation below. We are also asking as many parents as possible to complete a brief online infection control training course. This online course takes around 15-20 mins to complete. Maintaining this register assists in demonstrating to Cricket Victoria and the City of Whitehorse that we are running an effective education campaign with our members. Having a visible and effective approach to member education is an important pre-requisite to launching the cricket season when possible and also getting further access to City of Whitehorse managed facilities such as the Springfield Park Club Rooms. The course can be accessed at:https://www.health.gov.au//covid-19-infection-control-trai Registration the course to select is Infection Control Training COVID 19Please send course completion certificates to: [email protected] We are fully committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for your children to play cricket this season. More details around season commencement will follow once they come to hand. Stay safe and thank you. GO MUIRS! 13.01.2022 Hi Muirs, Anthony McClaren is taking over apparel from next season and theres some new options available. Given the wild situation at the moment and having it decreed that we must all wear face masks in public, our apparel supplier has designed a Muirs face mask for us; it seems we're going to have to wear them for quite a while yet - even after the current quarantine period has passed. While we're at it, it's an opportune time to break out the winter woolies, and we also ha...ve a Muirs beanie design for the first time ever! Both items are pictured below. Face masks: $15 each Beanies: $25 each Reply here or shoot Macca a message with your order.... just don't miss out!!

11.01.2022 **POST UPDATE** Further to the below, we’re also going to have 3 T20 teams this season!! So if you are, or are aspiring to play in one of the top sides, AND/OR if you want to play in one of the 3 T20 sides we ask that you invest in the coloured gear. The club understands it’s not necessarily possible to purchase the whole kit, so if you want to play and can at least purchase the pants ($45) that would be great.... Get orders to Macca ASAP. The order goes to the supplier TOMORROW! Thanks, MACCA - Wowee, apparel orders have been going bananas!! As such we need to make another apparel order to each of our suppliers. If you are in need of whites, or training gear, now is the time to get your orders to Macca for the Kookaburra gear. This applies to all juniors, as well as 4th, 5th, and 6th eleven senior teams. If you or your child is, or is aspiring, to play in the top three grades it would be great if you could please invest in the coloured gear. Our 3rd XI were complimented on the weekend by our opposition club at how good we looked in our colours!! This is just part of what makes KUCC one of the biggest and best clubs in the BHRDCA and sets us apart from the others!! Get your orders to Anthony McClaren ASAP ([email protected]) as the next order is going in ON TUESDAY for delivery prior to Christmas. If you would like to order caps or a face mask or a beanie, please also email through if we have enough numbers, we’ll order those too. Thanks, Anthony McClaren [email protected]

05.01.2022 Hi Muirs After a long break we are finally ready to kick off the 2020/21 season this weekend, with juniors, seniors and vets all taking to the field. While we’re all excited to be back doing what we love, it’s important to remember some of the key changes this season as we adapt to the Covid situation. One of the big changes this season is that food and refreshments are no longer provided by the home side so don't forget to bring plenty of drinks for yourselves before, during... and after the game. Also bring whatever food you want to eat. There will be time at the innings break as all games are one day games only as per usual. Below is an extract of what you should expect and adhere to on game day. 1. COVID-19 Return to Play There is an obligation for all HOME team captains to ensure that they or their appointed team COVID-19 safety officer take responsibility for both teams and match officials check-in. This can be either via the designated QR code for that venue or the 1Breadcrumb app (preferred). Note, the AWAY team captain should be the go-to person for any queries relating to their check-in. Key aspects: Team lists should be entered into MyCricket prior to start of game; if not fill in scorebook team-sheet and enable opposition to take a photo. Hand sanitizing and cleaning of personal equipment to be done as frequently as use required including on arrival at ground. During play this must be at least every 10 overs for all players, umpires and officials (including scorers). The match ball is to be cleaned with an alcohol-based wipe every 10 overs. The match ball is to be placed at bowlers’ end stumps when a wicket is taken. It is to be placed in a zip lock bag at afternoon tea. cannot hold any player personal items including clothing. Maintain social distancing of 1.5 metres wherever possible, knowing that there will be fleeting instances where this is not possible. Any and all drink containers must be for personal use only. No afternoon tea to be provided by host club; individuals must be responsible for their own afternoon tea and drinks; these can be purchased from a club canteen if operational. Change of scorers must see wiping with an alcohol-based wipe everything to be used by new scorer; this includes pens, pencils, computers, tablets and laptops. Good luck and lets play well and most importantly enjoy yourselves and look out for each other. Go Muirs!!
05.01.2022 Our KUCC T20 1st XI team is playing their only home game before Xmas at Springfield Park tonight Vs Templestowe. Should be a cracking game! If you’re free and after some entertainment, the boys would love your support! Starts at 5.15 GO MUIRS!
04.01.2022 Hi all, With cricket season looking positive and the countdown to the first ball on, the club has received a generous donation from a club member of a brand new Kraken Cricket bat that we are auctioning off here. Check out the link below for all the info, but for those that need a new stick this is the perfect way to tick that off and also help support the club. Place your bids in the comments, and we'll close the bids later this week.... Thanks https://krakencricket.com//kraken-butterfly-willow-cricket
04.01.2022 It has been wonderful to see senior cricket training back this week with all players doing a great job adjusting to COVID requirements. Junior training starts Monday, we can’t wait to see our young Muirs back playing cricket. Please see below update from CV. GO MUIRS!
03.01.2022 Prints of the recent all club photo can still be ordered. Two sizes are available A3 for $28 and A4 for $15. Closing date for orders is this Friday 10 April. Use https://form.jotform.com/200742442479860 to order your photos and pay online.... Player name and contact details must be entered for all orders. (Click Submit button to make the payment). PayPal payment or credit card payment options available. Prints will be delivered once we are able to do so.
02.01.2022 With recent Government announcements, and assuming health metrics are met, we are planning for: 1. Outdoor training can resume October 26, exact size of group(s...) are to be determined 2. Matches will commence November 14 A working party of 7 club presidents and the CoM have determined: A. Play will commence on Saturday November 14, under the assumption health metrics are met and the rules of the day allow B. The season will consist of 14 one day games, including finals, there will be no two day cricket C. 80 and 70 over grades only will be offered in the one day format Junior cricket will be aiming for the same start date pending further information and understanding they can probably cope with less pre season. Juniors are a little different from a fixturing perspective with the need to work more closely with RDCA & ECA. Veterans cricket is to be advised but will take a strong lead from Saturday afternoon cricket in terms of timing. The season start date and one day cricket only is consistent with Cricket Victoria recommendations and also aligned with other metropolitan competitions. There are ongoing meetings between Cricket Victoria along with state and local government seeking clarification about resumption of training and matches. We are also seeking clarification on Covid practices clubs and venues will need to have in place to ensure training and games can proceed. Continual updates are being shared with your club presidents and will be provided as the picture becomes clearer. With regional Victoria easing restrictions, including non contact sport commencing, as well as other states, and territories, starting their seasons we will have real examples of how the new environment looks and operates to help us get our season going. Stay safe. BHRDCA CoM
