05.01.2022 A few florals working towards eucalypt flowers.
01.01.2022 Took these photos of a young platypus this morning in 1 of the last remaining waterholes on the Shoalhaven River near our house. The battery was almost flat so I will try again tomorrow. It is one of several whose existence is threatened by the fact that the river is not flowing & the remaining waterholes are drying up. Queanbeyan-Palerang Council is pumping the remaining waterholes to top up the reservoir & delay having to truck water into town. Isn't the life of these platypus worth anything? Especially ironic given the deaths of over 1/2 billion wildlife in the ongoing bushfires.
