13.01.2022 Kids you know when they are literally jumping up and down? The excitement is oozing out of them! I love seeing that, it really takes me back to my childhood, reminiscing about going to bed on Christmas Eve so excited I could barely close my eyes, waiting for tiredness to finely kick in, then of course waking up to lots of gifts under the Christmas tree, I truly wish you could bottle up that feeling and save a bit for when youre an adult. There's not many events as an adu...lt that make you feel excitement the same as a child does. Well, today I had one very excited bean hopping child on my hands, and I loved it! My 'baby' turned 8, yep 8, wow! that kinda makes me feel old. But we had such a great time today, in fact, we celebrated Ashtons birthday over two days, yesterday, with both sets of grandparents as well, so weve been lucky enough to experience his excitement for a few days now:) Ashton turning 8 symbolises another life changing event for me, that is my business, Kerry Baker Photography. I spent all of my pregnancy preparing myself to start my own business, learning, practising and more learning & practising and when my son was 4 weeks of age I had my first real client - a family with a newborn baby :) Ive never looked back.. My son went to bed tonight buzzing, he said he received everything he wanted, he was made to feel special by his teacher, friends and us! Meet my kids Ashton & Jaycie whos 10.

12.01.2022 Meet my two children Jaycie 11 (next week) & Ashton 8. I have this image printed in a big canvas in my home, I set the colours and dressed the kids in the blue/aqua as that is the colour theme in my home as well as grey. So as a tip for your next family portrait, think about what colour theme would suit your home. I will take a photo tomorrow in the daylight of the canvas hanging in the room.

05.01.2022 Who knows of some great walking trails for families? We recently discovered such a beautiful part of Perth. We took the kids to an area in Kalamunda and did a great walk beside a flowing stream, over bridges, walking amongst our gorgeous wildflowers with a view of the city. It took us about 1.5 hours of slow walking taking it all in. The kids had an absolute ball. We finished off the day with a drive down the Zig Zag scenic road in Gooseberry Hill, it's a must if you haven't yet done it. Its the perfect time of year for these activities. So I would love to know if anyone has discovered some other great walks around our beautiful city that you can recommend suitable for children?

04.01.2022 In a previous post I said I would upload a photo of the canvas I have of my children hanging in my home. Here it is! I dressed them in colours to tie in with my home decor. This is a huge canvas 24x36". I would not want to go any smaller in that space.
