(How to model kindness, listening & understanding others) What a great idea & the results achieved from implementing this in Denmark! ‘Kids grow up to become confident, emotionally intelligent adults and are more likely to raise happier kids themselves. It should therefore come as no surprise that Denmark is consistently ranked highly as one of the happiest places to live.’

16.01.2022 Hey, to all my families about to embark on some ‘crisis schooling’ with your children! Let’s keep it real! ... Here’s some points that stuck out to me: 1. It is okay to NOT be amazing. Don't try to be Pinterest Homeschool Mum of the Year. Even she is not that way all the time and truthfully there is at least one messy room in her house. Something always has to give. Those perfect people online have the same 24 hours in each day. From experience I can tell you, something always gives no matter how perfect people pretend to be. 2. Life will go on if you are not stellar during a worldwide crisis. Maybe your best today will be cuddle up with the kids and just be together. Maybe your best today is everyone is fed and you didn't cry in front of them. 3. It's okay and even necessary to be REAL with yourself about what's actually happening. A bomb did not go off, but metaphorically it did. Our lives will never be the same after this. If you crumble, honor that. I promise you, your child will learn. We learn from all of life! Be kind to yourself, let yourself off the hook! And remember it’s ok to not be amazing! Big Love to you all! Stay safe! Miss your faces!

12.01.2022 I know it’s not easy! Please be mindful of screen time, especially over this holiday time! Screens interfere with reading and learning in a number of ways. Screens emit high levels of blue light that destroys melatonin needed for regenerative sleep at night when brain cells grow and are pruned for memory and learning. Screens emit microwave radiation that also impairs melatonin/sleep. Children do not fully myelinate their brains till around 25 years of age and so children absorb more radiation and suffer greater impairments than adults = learning/behaviour/sleep problems.

03.01.2022 This is what Academic Confidence looks like! Check out this little guys face! He is so proud of his picture & story writing! (And I am too ) So confident of the long story he wrote all on his own. ... We did some great editing together & he was beaming with academic confidence! (This is the before editing pic) This is why I love to tutor all ages. Watching their faces beam with confidence instead of timidity. I’m a very lucky gal! Grateful for my gorgeous students that span from Prep to Year 12. You are all amazing humans! (Note- permission given by parent to use these pictures)
