21.01.2022 It is with disappointment that I inform you that the K4C will be postponed until 2021. I am currently going through a job transition which will prevent me from being able to take the 2 months off to complete my mission. The upside is that I have extra time to prepare and plan next years K4C so it can be bigger and better than originally planned! Perhaps it will also mean I will have more fellow Kayak partners at different stages of the river!! Plan for 2021 Watch this spa...ce for updates and for other upcoming events. 05.01.2022 The Yorke Peninsula Field days were a great success for the Kerslake Foundation this past week. We were very happy to see 300+ people come through for a skin ch...eck over the 3 days. Many people had never been checked and so took the opportunity. Several follow ups were required so we may have prevented some unnecessary future suffering which is what we are all about I had a health hiccup at the end of the first day which was a big wake up call that I can’t help others if I’m not looking after myself. With that in mind, we will be postponing the Kerslake Cup Footy Carnival and be back bigger and better next year! I will now be concentrating my energy in to the Kayak 4 Cure two month River Murray mission beginning in April next year (watch this space!). 05.01.2022 If in doubt, cut it out!! Fortunately this was a benign Pigmented seborrhoeic keratosis, or dumbed down by the nurse for me a noncancerous skin growth..... This was picked up recently as a new spot from my last skin check 6 months ago. Not wanting to take any chances I got it cut out. Please, if you haven’t had a skin check in the last 12 months, or never had one..... Now is the time to book it in!! Don’t wait until it’s too late, prevention is better than cure.... 03.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE* Unfortunately we are postponing this years Kerslake Cup. I got a bit of a reality check last week, that by taking on too much and not listening to my body can be detrimental to my health. The Kerslake Cup will be back bigger and better next year.....
