25.01.2022 Training photos, May 2019

23.01.2022 Hi everyone. I hope you have all had a great break. Just a quick reminder that classes started up again this week. Gradings are coming up very soon, so if you are hoping to grade please make sure you attend as many classes as possible. This year gradings will be held in the evenings in Roxburgh Park. White belt Gradings will be on Tuesday 7th May. Yellow belt Gradings will be on Monday 13th May. Blue belt Gradings will be on Monday 20th May. I hope to see you all tomorrow at six and/or next Wednesday at 5.30pm. Lucy

22.01.2022 On Monday, Koorina and Emre competed in their first national Taekwondo championships. They did an amazing job, ending up with a bronze medal in the pairs division. Emre also won bronze in the individual division. There were ten players in his division. 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th places all went to Koryo Taekwondo players, which is incredible. Koorina tied for first place with another player, but unfortunately received silver after a decision was made on presentation. I am extremely proud of you both you are a wonderful example to all of us.

20.01.2022 Only 10 Spots left available. Due to the interest shown by Parents of Children 12 years and younger to attend this Seminar the fee for the 12 years and younger... is now $10.00 per applicant. This Victorian Poomsae Seminar is designed for all members of the Australian Taekwondo Community. This Seminar will also be a great assistance for Poomsae Judges who would like a better understanding of scoring at Poomsae Competitions. Change of date to the 5th due to Mothers day on the 12th. 18.01.2022 Billie and Jessica had lots of stiff competition. Billie came out with gold and Jessica performed beautifully and was very unlucky to miss out on a medal. Well done girls you were amazing. I am so proud of you.

14.01.2022 Hello everyone Unfortunately due to new Government restrictions the Leisure Centre and all other indoor sporting venues will be closing as of today. That means our Taekwondo classes will be cancelled until further notice. Be assured that classes will resume as soon as is safe and practical to do so. In the meantime, I encourage you to practise as often as possible. Go through all the patterns you have learnt, and practise your kicking skills in particular. Videos of all the T...aeguk patterns from 1 to 8 are easily found on Youtube, as is basic pattern. The Taekwondo style we practise is the WT style, and lots of other information is available online. I will also send out any information I find that may be useful. Regarding gradings, unfortunately they will not be possible this week. However, as I was aware of the possibility of classes being discontinued, last week I covered all the core grading requirements, and as I know the capabilities of all my students, I am confident that if the few items that were not covered, eg. breaking and fitness, were tested each of you would pass easily. Therefore, I am very proud and delighted to say that Jessica, Billie and Nenad can now add 1 more stripe to their belts, and Emre is now a red belt. Congratulations to all of you, it is well deserved. Please stay in touch and keep practising. 14.01.2022 Aarav, Koorina, Jessica and Billie from our Broadmeadows club, with their other Koryo team mates from Roxburgh Park and Wallan after their amazing success at the National Taekwondo Championships!

11.01.2022 Our team had a fantastic day yesterday. We are so proud of Emre and Koorina. They came third in pairs, winning a bronze medal. Emre also won bronze in individual poomsae and Koorina won gold! You are both amazing and getting better every day. Well done!!!

09.01.2022 Welcome to 2020, our very first year as Keumgang Taekwondo. I look forward to welcoming back our existing students and welcoming new students to our club. I am very excited to start work on our new syllabus, which will focus on developing individual strengths, and embracing our diversity. Our first class will be on Wednesday January 29th at 5pm for beginners, and 6pm for more advanced students. Please contact me if you are not sure which class is best suited to you. We also have a mixed level class on Fridays at 6pm. Each class goes for one hour. I look forward to seeing you all soon. Lucy

You will have an opportunity to see artists work, maybe buy some one of a kind early Christmas presents. You can even have a chance to make your own piece of art. At my studio everyone is welcome to come and make their own mosaic coaster. If you would like to see a selection of the work of the participating artists please visit the Mill Park Library to see our exhibition A Taste of Things to Come OPEN NOW, during Library open hours.
