25.01.2022 REIQ contracts stipulate that the days which fall between the 27th December and the 31 December (inclusive) i.e. between Christmas and New Years are treated as being a public holiday. Using this year as an example, if a condition or Settlement falls due in this period, it would be pushed over to the 2nd January 2018 being the next available business day. However, due to the loss of business days, we suggest a settlement date on or after 8 January 2018.

Time is running out to take advantage of the $20,00.00 first home buyers' grant:- The $20,000 Queensland first home buyers’ grant is only available until midnight on 30 June 2018 for first-time home owners who sign a contract to purchase a brand new home or sign a contract to with a builder to build a home between 1 July 2016 and midnight 30 June 2018. If you’re buying a brand new home, the property does not need to have settled by midnight on 30 June 2018, you just need to have signed the contract. After this date, the grant will revert to the original $15,000 one-off payment.
