22.01.2022 John Doggett once again achieved the remarkable feat of shooting better than his age on Saturday 21st November. The three under par 69 off the stick included 7 birdies and 4 bogeys, amazing effort. Well done John.

21.01.2022 Please Support Kew Member, Justine Spark, on her ‘Move for Movember’. On Cup Day a few years ago, Justine was the first person to come across an unknown man who had committed suicide on the golf course where she was playing. He died while she was talking to him, before emergency services arrived. A month ago her cousin took their own life in a country town where 8 other young men died by suicide in that one week. Justine is taking part in ‘Move for Movember’ by walking 60km... on the golf course this month. Why 60 kilometres? 60 men every hour world-wide commit suicide. Justine is going to walk that 60 kms on Kew golf course this month to raise awareness and funds for Move for Movember, while playing golf a great way to enhance our mental health. 01.01.2022 Day 1 of Justine’s Move for Movember quest to walk 60km this month kicked off with a bang literally. To her backside, courtesy of one of her playing partners with a terrific shot out of the bunker on the full on the 1st. Lucky for him She stopped it short by about 20m. With the bruise to prove it Tally 8.8kms into her quest Her luck was restored with a brilliant save on the 13th rescuing her buggy, clubs and everything within which had gone walkabout, nearly toppling into the water, saved by a desperate grab with her putter with only a putter head to spare. 24.11.2021 #Throwbackthursday Membership increased after World War 1 improving the prospect of members owning their own club. In 1922 the Club purchased 92 acres of land on the corner of Belford Road and Kilby Road for 8,740. The course was designed by Jock Robertson and Jock Young, both golf professionals. 26.09.2021 The Kew Golf Club has received it’s own Christmas present recently with Golf Australia Magazine promoting us from number 99 on their list of top 100 courses in Australia to number 96. There were a number of new entrants to the top 100 list and a number of excellent courses returning after renovations, so this result is even more meritorious than it seems at first glance. Comments from the judges included:... The tree-clearing program here has been pivotal in the significant improvement of Kew. You no longer feel boxed in and the quality of turf throughout the course is excellent, which brings the best out of the design, and Kew is more open and inviting that it was before the redesign. There are some views across the course now that some people, like me, love and some don’t. The real winner is being able to grow beautiful Santa Ana fairways and bent grass greens now, with plenty of shaded areas now gone.
