In line with this information volleyball games WILL continue as scheduled next week and beyond until the advice is not to proceed. If this advice changes games will be cancelled immediately.... Kew Volleyball has taken measures to help minimise the potential spread of the virus, including decontaminating the whole venue over this weekend. Nightly strategies include; 1. Teams are not to shake hands; fist pumps are permitted (recommended by the Health Department). 2. Balls will be wiped down with disinfectant. 3. Posters displayed about washing hands and coughing throughout the centre. 4. Hand sanitizer available at the canteen (supply permitting). Kew Volleyball hopes everyone keeps safe in this time of uncertainty, and please keep watching our Facebook page for any further updates.

08.01.2022 *** Kew Volleyball COVID-19 Update 18-8-20*** I hope you; your family & friends are keeping well during this lockdown. Unfortunately, I do not think we will be back on the court again until November at the earliest, and most likely not until next year (I really hope I am wrong). The trigger for our return will be the Victorian Government allowing community adult sporting competitions to resume.... Recently, I have surveyed all the Summer Season 2019/20 Grand Final teams as to whether they still wanted to play the Grand Final upon resumption, the overwhelming majority, 74%, said they did not want to play the Grand Final for a multitude of reasons thus we have cancelled the Summer 2019/20 season’s Grand Finals. I have individually contacted all the team’s that said they wanted to play the match and explained the rationale behind the decision. Kew Volleyball wishes everyone all the best during these challenging times, and will be in contact again as soon as the Victorian Government looks to lift the appropriate restrictions. Thanks Bill McHoul Centre Manager Kew Volleyball

05.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS UPDATE as at 4:45pm on Friday 20th March 2020 As a result of the stricter social distancing measures announced today by the Australian Government, Kew Volleyball has decided to stop all competitions until further notice. Kew Volleyball is still within the current operational guidelines set out by the Australian Government but has chosen to close to help ensure the safety of our staff and customers.... The last round (next week) of the Summer 2019/20 Season has been cancelled. Upon the resumption of the competition, the top two teams in each division will play a Grand Final which will also double up as the first round of the Winter 2020 Season. Please note that these matches will need to be later in the evening to allow for a no time limit game. Please keep watching Kew Volleyball’s website & Facebook page for further updates. Any questions please email [email protected] Please keep safe everyone !!! Kew Volleyball

01.01.2022 Hi Everyone We hope you; your family & friends are well. On the 22nd June indoor sports centres and venues can be opened with up to 20 people allowed per separate enclosed space, subject to the four-square metre rule and up to 10 people per group/activity.... This is great news !!! Unfortunately, this stage of easing of the restrictions does not go far enough to allow us to restart the Kew Volleyball competitions but it does show the light at the end of the tunnel. Stay tuned for further updates as the Victorian Government continues to ease restrictions over time. We cannot wait to see you back on the court again, but the safety of our staff & customers is our priority. Kew Volleyball
