25.01.2022 WOW!... Can you believe this is a pastel drawing? Meet Katanning the Carnaby's cockatoo from Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre in Martin, Perth Hil...ls. Isn't he beautiful? This incredible portrait took Perth artist Sally Edmonds ten days to draw. Sally says she doesn't have the time to be a volunteer at the conservation centre, so she visits and photographs the birds and when she draws one and sells a copy, she donates all the profits. "I’m so really happy to be able to do something for them even though it’s nothing compared to what the volunteers do. They are a fantastic organisation," she said.
