18.01.2022 Hey peeps, here we go again! 5 day lockdown from midnight tonight. This is absolutely the right thing to do.. we have done this, we know what to do. DON’T STRESS! Until the feds get the vaccine situation sorted, this will probably be an ongoing thing (short, sharp lockdowns, that is). On that note, clinic is CANCELLED on Wednesday 17th. Jacqui will contact those of you booked in to reschedule. THURSDAY 18th is still as scheduled.. fingers crossed!... I know this is hard. I must admit that I too felt a bit sick watching the presser, but again, it’s the right thing to do. Reach out if you need things.. Barry and I and all the team at the Centre are here for you

12.01.2022 Happy Friday Peeps, here’s your update for today (*here’s an excuse to post a video of Barry being cute).. Statewide we have another 371 cases today, with community transmissions up 51. #BOO Active cases are Casey 370 (up 16), Latrobe 29 (up 1), Baw Baw 6 (up 1), Sth Gippy and Bass Coast same (4 & 3).... So #StupidVirus is still creeping around.. we’ve nearly finished our second infection period, and numbers are rising. #MassiveBoo Don’t panic though, we just hold fast, stay the course, #WearAMask #StayAtHome and #GoGetTested. #WeGotThis I will make a decision on Sunday night about clinic next week, and I’m so sorry that your treatment is being disrupted by #StupidVirus, but the reality is that I am making ALL decisions based ON YOUR BEST INTERESTS and using the experience that my Master’s in Public Health has given me. 08.01.2022 Good afternoon Peeps, how nice is this warmer weather?! And while it’s so good to see the state daily number going down, the number of community transmissions continues to rise (up another 107). #BOOOO Latrobe has risen to 28, with clusters at BUPA and an outbreak at a school. I expect this to climb over the next few days, unfortunately. If you or your loved ones are affected, our hearts go out to you and we send strong Qi for a mild case and a speedy recovery..... Cardinia has also risen to 92 and Casey has gone down to 354. Baw Baw, Sth Gippy and Bass Coast have stayed the same. Another HUGE YAY! I’m monitoring closely, and while I want to be optimistic, I know that there is a lag. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that ALL numbers decline over the next few days. My heart goes out to the crew at Courthouse, this can happen to any of our wonderful businesses and workplaces. #STUPIDVIRUS Warragul Court House Rest Facebook page Attention. Unfortunately, we have received news that someone who has tested positive for covid-19 dined at the Courthouse on Thursday 30th July in the evening in our private dining room. DHHS have been notified and contact tracing is underway, we have passed on contact details for patrons that have dined with us between Thursday evening and Sunday evening, DHHS Contact Tracing team will be in touch. Although we are still waiting for DHHS to advise on actions we need to take as a venue, we feel that we have a duty of care to protect our guests, staff and local community and will therefore close immediately until further notice. Our team have all booked in for testing and are currently isolating. We have arranged a commercial deep clean and sanitisation of the restaurant. Our team will be conducting calls soon to notify anyone who has a booking for tomorrow that we will be closed. We apologise for any stress this message may cause. Our venue has been following a strict Covid Safe Plan since the beginning of this pandemic and will continue to do so. We want to ensure that we notify the community to prevent any further spread. 04.01.2022 Hola Peeps, Happy RONA FREE FRIYAY! Thank you for your understanding to peeps I had to cancel at short notice yesterday. I woke up yesterday morning with a snotty nose and as I practice what I preach, off I went to #GetTested for #StupidVirus. In and out at the drive thru Wonthaggi clinic within 10 minutes. #EasyPeasy... Results just in, all clear. #Phew. We have had our first day of under 200 since July today, all signs show we are heading in the right direction. Which is FANTASTIC! Community transmissions are decreasing and active cases are stable or going down in our local government areas. #WeGotThis We’ve got 4 odd weeks of lockdown to go, and it’s hard not to get complacent, but we mustn’t or we will lose the gains we are starting to make. If, like me, you have even the mildest of symptoms #GoGetTested If you need to cancel at the last minute, don’t stress, there’s no cancellation fee. They will come to you! https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/call-to-test-covid-19 Today it’s a #Boo for both Latrobe (up 2 to 24) and Cardinia (up 8 to 85).... That’s the local government areas either side of Baw Baw shire. A #Yay for Baw Baw which stayed at 5, Sth Gippy which dropped 1 and Bass Coast at 3. #Traralgon peeps, #StaySafe. 03.01.2022 Hola Peeps, Well, this is a fun little #CoronaCoaster isn’t it!?#Not The statewide daily case number is declining, which is fantastic, but the community transmission is rising.. the number of cases with unknown sources, which is the opposite of fantastic.... After one week of stage 3 lockdown (one infection period), active cases are: Baw Baw 5, Sth Gippy 5, Casey 357, Cardinia 76 and Latrobe 22. Casey, Cardinia and Latrobe are rising every day. This is a major concern. During the first Stage 3 lockdown, the active cases we had in Baw Baw were from returned overseas travellers, NOT COMMUNITY TRANSMISSION. The recent cases in Drouin and Warragul mean it’s here. How much here, we do not yet know. A week will buy us some time to get a clearer picture. So, this means, me being #SafetyGirl, out of an abundance of caution and to protect our vulnerable Tribe, I am postponing clinic NEXT WEEK 10-15th August. While I am 100% confident in our infection control procedures, and know that you are all doing the right thing (#StayHome #WearAMask), there are too many variables to predict where the risks to you lay. I would rather be #SafeThanSorry. I’m watching the numbers every day and am #KeepingEverythingCrossed that during the next week (a further infection period remember the numbers we are seeing today are reflective of a week or so ago), the numbers will decline in our region as they are overall across the State. Sorry for the inconvenience, but believe me, being hospitalised and/or ventilated is WAY MORE INCONVENIENT, not to mention the ongoing, long term negative affects #StupidVirus is having on people everywhere. I’ll call you all tomorrow to fit in those who missed out this week. Online booking is still turned off to allow me to control the spacing of your appointments. The strategy is working, but we must NOT get complacent like we did first time round.. we need to #StayTheCourse, keep #WearingAMask and of course, #GoGetTested if you have even the slightest suggestion of any symptoms.
