22.01.2022 UPDATE: Key Fitness 24/7 will continue to remain open in accordance with yesterdays announcement regarding indoor gatherings in Australia. At this time the Chief Medical Officer has stated that it is safe to attend the gym if you are healthy, therefore, our gym will be remaining open and operational with some additional precautionary measures in place. We will continue to enforce our 'no towel, no train' policy; discourage any personal contact during workouts(such as a high f...ive or handshake); encourage members to wash hands regularly and wipe down equipment after use. If you are feeling unwell please stay at home. We have staff on hand to sanitize and clean our facility throughout all our staffed hours and cleaners attending twice daily. The health and safety of our community remains our number one priority and increased cleaning and robust hygiene reminders will continue beyond these next few months. 18.01.2022 Dear members, Last week we were expecting an update on gyms in Tasmania being able to open 24/7. A submission was put forward to the State Government on behalf of the Tasmanian Fitness industry and has been rejected with no timelines provided on if or when this may occur in the future.... We are aware that many gym users will be disappointed by this. If you don’t agree with this decision then we ask you to email the Premier Peter Gutwein at [email protected] to voice your concerns. The health & well being of our local community is of upmost importance particularly during an epidemic. We will continue to operate under current restrictions and provide updates when available. Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to navigate through these tough times and remember to try and buy/support locally owned and operated businesses who are doing it tough

16.01.2022 The wait is over! In accordance with the revised COVID-19 regulations, Key Fitness will reopen on Tuesday 9th June. The health and safety of our staff and members remains our top priority, and we will continue to maintain strict policies around hygiene, social distancing, cleaning. We will also continue to offer hand sanitiser, and medical grade disinfectant for all members use. While we are permitted to reopen we are required to adhere to strict government enforced protocols... to ensure we minimise any risks regarding Covid-19. This means we are only permitted to give members access to the gym during staffed hours only with a maximum of 20 members allowed onsite at any time in order to comply with Stage 2 government requirements . These measures will help ensure we’re maintaining a safe environment for all our valued members. We will initially open with the following staffed hours. Should it be required we will implement a booking system. Monday Friday 12:00 to 7:00pm Saturday 8:30am to 1pm These times will be revised regularly and once government restricts ease we hope to open access back to our standard 24/7. As lockdown restrictions ease, many of us are excited to get back into the gym to kickstart our fitness and wellbeing. To ensure you can train with confidence, Key Fitness is introducing a range of new measures. WHAT WE’RE DOING The health and safety of our members and staff remains our top priority. That’s why we’re adding even more safety measures and extensive cleaning protocols, so we can safely support you in getting back into your training. Thorough cleaning of all equipment by both professional cleaners and staff. Hygiene stations placed nearby high-touch areas offering hand sanitiser, medical grade disinfectant for use and sanitising gym wipes Repositioning equipment where possible as well as introducing clear floor markings and more signage to help members and staff maintain 1.5 metres social distancing in all areas of the club Decommissioning every other piece of cardio equipment to ensure a 1.5 metre distance can be kept Closing change room facilities KEEPING EACH OTHER SAFE At this time, community is more important than ever. You can help us and your fellow members stay safe and healthy by following these guidelines. Do not attend the gym if you’re feeling unwell Our strict ‘no towel, no train’ policy is in place We ask that you take responsibility for social distancing measures by adhering to dedicated floor markings Thoroughly wipe down all equipment before and after use, using the antibacterial wipes provided Always swipe into the club, this will enable more accurate attendance records Please be respectful to staff members who are enforcing procedures We want to thank you for supporting us through these unprecedented times and while we are not able to return to normal just yet there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel. We are super keen to see you all back in the gym
13.01.2022 When it comes to health & fitness the best approach will always be the KISS method...Keep It Simple Stupid.. - Good nutrition (Eat seasonally & locally sourced food where possible, avoid the WHITE stuff ie SUGAR, Bread, rice, pasta) - Regular Exercise (Strength, Cardio, flexibility) - Sleep (minimum of 7hrs) - Hydration ... - Reduce Stress (Meditate, walk, go for a holiday etc) There is no magic potion for good health & fitness....it takes hardwork & consistency.
12.01.2022 Great to see so many members getting after those gains today despite the weather outside....remember a one hour workout is only 4% of your day...NO EXCUSES
